Did you know that Amazon has a built in link shortener? They don't make it particularly easy to find, but it's there... and you can find it yourself by watching this short video.

The video here is intended to piggyback one done by Labman (Craig) a little over two years ago. Everything he noted in his video is still valid today. Check it out at https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/amazon-li...

Having said that, I've been on an unending quest to shorten the monstrous affiliate links Amazon gives us to use. It turns out they have a link shortener built into their platform at amzn.to

Who knew?

This is my first effort at video here on WA, so please feel free to leave comments about the content or the quality of the video.

Welcome to my world Mr Video Producer. Great start. A pity I got kicked off Amazon for lack of sales (mainly due to not knowing what I was doing). You're encouraging me to try again. ~Marion

Hi Marion!

Making videos is a far cry from my usual - just struggling to stay inside the lines while coloring.

Thankfully, I can be trained.

... or so I'm told!

Great to hear Larry - somehow it's nice to know I'm not the only one struggling with Amazon's affiliate links!

I use the links shortener on occasion however as soon as you click on it, it displays the long link as the URL. Have you noticed this?

Hi Tanja -

Yes - and it doesn't seem there's anything we can do about it. Once you've arrived at Amazon, it's all out there for the world to see. At least it's not out there initially, when the prospect is making the decision to check out the Amazon page.

I also use pretty link, but since that also doesn't truly cloak the affiliate info, when I am in. A hurry I use the Amazon link shortener.
