What Is Indexing?

Search Engines are these websites that help people find search results on the internet. Without Search Engines, it would be really hard to find the right site with the right info that you are looking for. You would have to type in the exact domain for the site you wanted, every time.

Search Engines have these little crawlers that crawl all over the internet, looking for new content to "Index." When a crawler ends up at your website, either because you told it to go there or it just dropped by for its weekly check up (Depending on your site age and how often you post) it will look for SEO content you wrote.

When a crawler finds some new content on your site, it will do its thing (I'm not 100% sure on its thing, but it does it) and report back to the boss. When a crawler takes your content back to the base, it gets put through an algorithm that looks at a whole bunch of things.

Your content has been indexed if it makes it back to the boss!

The Very First Question You Should Be Asking Yourself, If You Have A Website is ...

Is My Website Indexed In Google?

If you have a website hosted here at Wealthy Affiliate (Highly Recommended), then you will have all your websites available in the Siterubix Site Manager, where you will find a label that says "Google Index" Yes Or No.

For anyone that has been working on their site for a while, it should naturally say Yes, but for a brand new site or a site that Google crawlers just haven't found yet, this is the simplest way to get your website indexed into Google.

How To Get Indexed Quicker

This way above is simply to get your website indexed by Google.

Try Resubmitting your URL or editing some things on your post and show Google Again. Do you have any affiliate links on that post?

Yes but I have them on others as well I am working on redirecting them just haven't made it that far yet. I will look at it again and see if I can change a little bit. See if that works. Is there somewhere I could find a reason why or is just that is what google says type of thing?

Try removing the affiliate links and resubmitting it. If they doesn't work, add more content or try renaming your title. :)

Huffman - Great stuff! The indexing boss is tough to work for. But if you give it what it is looking for, you will be rewarded. Seems fair to me. Excellent training. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
