WordPress Compliance

This is where you will learn tips to help you keep your WordPress site GDPR compliant and to prevent you from running into troubles with the authorities.

You will need to first carry out a security audit in order to ascertain how data is processed and stored on your server. The ideal plugin for performing this activity is the Security Audit Log plugin.

Normally, a WordPress site would collect data from visitors and customers in any number of ways specified below:

  • User registration
  • Contact Form entries
  • Page or Post comments
  • Security, analytics, and traffic log tools and plugins.

Conclusion

GDPR is a data protection law instituted by the EU to protect its citizens' data and privacy. And even though your business isn't based in EU member states, you need to ensure that your website complies with the GDPR requirements.

This training offers a guide for a WordPress site to follow in order to ensure that their sites do not violate any of the GDPR laws.

You have an excellent way of coving topics that I am researching. It's pretty funny to me that just yesterday, I was looking into GDPR and today you post-training on it (this has happened a few times in the past too).

GDPR is a pretty crazy thing, and I did not know about the fine they can impose. Thanks for covering this and using this as a simple reminder.
