What I really love is that Twitter – just like Google Analytics – shows you how many people engaged with your tweet, clicked on your link, and so on. It is an awesome tool that can help you see how your tweets engage with your followers. I don’t need to explain this. It works similarly to Google Analytics, and you learned all about that in your WA training.
Let's see this example. I pitched a blurb of a new manuscript in #Pitmad, which is a literary event on Twitter that takes place four times a year. Writers can pitch their manuscripts under the Pitmad hashtag, and agents will scroll through these pitches and see if they like one.
This was the first time I participated. As you can see I got 87 retweets and 8 likes, which is pretty good, for my first time ;-) Aaand this is a great example of how to cram a lot of info into a tweet with limited space I just pitched a book of 300 pages in there, lol.
Now, let's look at the analytics. To do that, within the tweet you click on the drop down arrow again. select "tweet activity"
So, my tweet was seen 5878 times and 154 people interacted with my tweet, meaning that they clicked on it.
Now, let's click on "ver todas las interacciones", which means "see all interactions", and find out more info. Sorry about the Spanish, but hey, perhaps we finally have our very first bilingual tutorial here on WA, well, kind of bilingual ;-)
Here you can see the number of retweets, who saw this tweet's details, how many profile clicks I got, how many "likes", how many clicks on the tweet's tag, and how many replies to my tweet.
While you can promote your links on Twitter for free, they do promote paid promotional services too. You can sign up for them by clicking on the blue bar below the statistics to reach a wider audience.
This blog is a God-sent to my inner dreams.
For a long time I have been, not only curious, but really wanting to open a Twitter account, and I actually attempted. But I could not follow. I could not understand what benefits there are to have twitter account.
I will come to you one day soon, and be your student, if that is OK with you. I will follow the steps you mentioned here but when I get stuck, I will have to bother you...
Thank you very much for this valuable tutorial.
God bless you more,
Chuna
Along with Pinterest, these are two areas I will be moving into over the next few months.
I have bookmarked for when I begin in earnest.
I certainly didn't realise there was so much you could do with it. Awesome and thank you again.
