When you have your following, you could create lists of people, or groups. It is not mandatory, but it may help you when you want to direct your tweets at a specific group of people.

Here's an example of lists that are aimed at authors and author retweeters

You can create a group for affiliate marketers, readers, bloggers, baby boomers, and add people there accordingly. Then, when you want to add one of those groups to a tweet, just type # and the name of the group, and all its members will see your tweet.

To create a list, simply click on the button as indicated in the screenshot.

After that a new window will pop up, and you fill in the name of the list, write a brief description, and mark is as public or private.

To add someone to a list, simply go to their profile. In the top right corner of their profile you will see a button with three dots. Click there and a menu will appear. Select "add/delete from list"

(sorry, as you can see I don't draw the finest arrows in Paint) ;-) but at least I hope that the explanation is clear.

This is so amazing! Thank you very much. However, I have a couple of questions. Does twitter have limitations such as IG or FB? What I mean, on IG, you have a limit to 30 hashtags. Also, there is a limit to the daily following; otherwise, there will mark us as spam. I also wonder if it is fine to promote other social media platforms on Twitter.

Hi Mohammad!
Tweets can only have 280 characters, so you can't use that many hashtags, but once you get the hang of fitting your message and hashtags in your tweet, you'll find the right balance.

There is a limit to a daily following and if you surpass it you can't follow back anyone for a day. They call that "Twitter jail". This has never happened to me, so I am not sure what the limit is. It's probably high, though, so I would not worry about it.

You can connect Twitter with IG as well. And I have seen people promote FB pages on Twitter.
I hope this answers your questions. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hello Christine,

This blog is a God-sent to my inner dreams.

For a long time I have been, not only curious, but really wanting to open a Twitter account, and I actually attempted. But I could not follow. I could not understand what benefits there are to have twitter account.

I will come to you one day soon, and be your student, if that is OK with you. I will follow the steps you mentioned here but when I get stuck, I will have to bother you...

Thank you very much for this valuable tutorial.

God bless you more,
Chuna

Thank you so much Christine, this is a brilliant introduction to Twitter.
Along with Pinterest, these are two areas I will be moving into over the next few months.
I have bookmarked for when I begin in earnest.
I certainly didn't realise there was so much you could do with it. Awesome and thank you again.
