I will add that it is also possible to make videos on a tablet or iPad, but I found it much harder and produced lower-quality (particularly the audio) when I used a mobile device. It just requires too many apps and file conversions to make it all work. It also required (at least on Android) spending around $10 on the pro version of a movie making app that mimics Windows Movie Maker. The free apps (and there are tons of them) - just.didn't.cut it.
