When it comes to choosing the best tools for your YouTube SEO, two tools readily come to mind - VidIQ and Tubebuddy.

These tools will provide the right boost for your YouTube SEO any day, any time. But that doesn't mean they are the best for everyone, or for any situation. I guess that's the rationale for creating this comparison post between two of the top-performing YouTube tools.

My goal is to help you discover the unique strengths and weaknesses of VidIQ and Tubebuddy. Having said that, let's go through both YouTube tools and find out the better option to use.

Working with Browser Extensions

When it comes to packaging software tools like browser extensions, I'll say it makes it quite convenient for users.

The setup process is quite easy and straightforward and the tool works pretty fine without the need to configure it. Plus browser extensions make it easy to perform all your tasks from within the original platform.

Take for instance VidIQ and Tubebuddy, they both offer their tools as browser extensions. The only difference is that Tubebuddy has extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari while VidIQ only has a browser extension for Chrome.

Well, that means the owners of VidIQ may have to work on creating extensions for the other browsers any time soon.

The browser extensions are free, easy to set up, though users are expected to set up their accounts before using the extensions. The extensions can be downloaded from the official websites of both VidIQ and Tubebuddy.

Which is better for SEO keywords for YT: TubeBuddy or our own Jaaxy Research?

Use TubeBuddy if you are going to make mostly YouTube videos. On the other hand, if you are going to write posts in addition to make YouTube videos, Jaaxy would be your best option as it works fine not only with websites but also with YouTube. Tom

I’ve noticed that Jaaxy will give me good keywords which show on TB to be poor or fair. But the latter doesn’t help me enough with finding better keywords. So I’ve just been using the jaaxy words for my videos

Thanks for asking, JerilynWin! When it comes to optimizing your videos, both tools are helpful, though the former works best for video optimization while the latter works best for content optimization.

If you write articles more than making videos, you made the best decision.

No I've actually switched to my YT channel, posting my vlogs on my website and other social media channels. Still learning TubeBuddy.
