One of the basics of economics is that an increase in demand eventually leads to increased supply. And as we look around us, we find that demand for online education is on the rise.

If you're an instructor or a trainer, this might just be the signal you need. Offering online courses doesn't have to be so hard; in fact, it can be so easy.

All you have to do is locate a good e-learning platform, and deliver your courses through them. To help you with that, I've put together a list of my top 7 e-learning platforms.

Each of these online learning platforms has its features and strengths. But you will have to read through to find the one that resonates with you.

Let's jump right into the top 7 online learning platforms for 2020.

1 - Udemy

As far as the internet is concerned, this is one of the largest marketplaces for e-learning. With more than 40 million students and an estimated 50,000 instructors, Udemy is indeed a big one.

The platform boasts of seasoned instructors in most fields of study. It's a great place where students learn new skills in their chosen fields of study.

To deliver your courses here, you are not required to pay any setup fees neither do you need to have high technical knowledge.

The classes are designed to flow in line with each student's study pace. Students can access Udemy courses even on mobile platforms such as Android and iOS.

However, students and instructor interaction are set to the minimum. And as an instructor, you cannot get access to their personal details like phone numbers and emails.

The learning platform sets the price for your courses, and in most cases, they are priced very low. Udemy has different pricing models depending on how students got to know about your course.

If they come through the paid channel of Udemy, the platform takes 75% of the total value. If the students come through organic search or through Udemy search, they collect a 50% commission.

And if the students come through your marketing efforts, Udemy takes just 3% of the course value.

Thanks for your post.

Individuals cannot create course with Coursera unless they are well recognised educator whereas anyone can create with Udemy.

Udemy is the google of them all and continues to expand.
