Hello WA Family

Automated email remains one of the most important marketing strategies even in the face of proliferation of other digital tools. Though email has now been part of the business community for decades it still remains as relevant as it was at inception.

There are also many myths you have to debunk especially if you are trying to defend email marketing as an effective marketing tool.

Below are some pertinent issues and misconceptions that will give you a clearer understanding of the place of email in contemporary business marketing.

Foolproof Statistics

As an online marketer you just have to look at the statistics to realize the impact of email in your overall marketing strategy. According to Experian transactional emails boast 8 times more open and clicks than any other form of emails.

Epsilon Email Institute says automated emails enjoy 70.5% higher open rate than the usual emails. Better still, a study by Mckinsey shows that email personalization improves click-through rates by 14% while increasing conversion by 10%.

A similar report by Ascend2 shows that 82% of B2B and B2C companies are currently relying on email marketing technology. Another study by eMarketer shows that B2B companies which leverage email automation have seen conversion increase of as high as 50%.

With more people on mobile, email will become more important as a marketing tool as the regularity of checking and clicking on automated emails will increase.

These numbers are a just a tip of the iceberg in highlighting how important automated email marketing is. If you are not yet leveraging the power of email it is highly likely that you are listening to the wrong people.

If you go online there are so many myths about email marketing and for a startup such information can be overwhelming.

Great training!

One comment about transactional emails having a high open rate is that it is not surprising, but expected. Because transactional emails are in response to a transaction. For example, confirmation of a purchase or notice of shipment. Or even account info in response to a lost password.
