Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is having a wonderful day/evening. I have been struggling these past few days to find my Facebook ID #. You know, that long stream of numbers you see when you first signup for a Facebook account.

For those of you who don't know, you can change that to look like a normal username and it looks a heck of a lot better than all those numbers. It is pretty easy to do but this is not what this training is about.

This training is for those who have already changed their ID# to a username and is on the hunt to find those numbers again for whatever reason. There are certain apps that request them so you have to know how to find them.

I began this search because I wanted to add my ID# to the Social Meta Plugin.

If you haven't already changed your Facebook ID# to a nice looking username, be sure to bookmark this training for future reference.

Thanks for the tutorial! When do you need your facebook ID#?

I have heard that some apps require it Katie. I personally needed it Rich Pins to improve the quality of my pins for Pinterest.

Thanks for your explanation, I have seen this question come by multiple times:) And it's not in every country the same, for one, my page info is in Dutch and looks quite different
Can you tell me if the page ID is accepted too when you have made it into a name?

Hi Loes, nice to hear from you. I clicked on your link and it does look different, even translated. I couldn't tell if this was a page or your personal profile. If it is your personal profile the ID# will not be found under the about me section. At least in the U.S.

I will let you know about the second question. I plan on trying both ways to see what happens and I will let you know what I find.

You have me thinking that perhaps I should add a disclaimer stating that the training was done from the U.S. and may be different in other countries.

Always learning new things here at Wealthy Affiliate from wonderful people such as yourself. Thank you my dear friend.

This is a page, not my personal account. You could add the sentence that Facebook pages outside the US can work differently.

Yesterday, when you asked this question, I tried to find out how to find the ID, but did not find any useful answers... So I thought that it's in the URL and that's it...

Very good ways to find the ID! But it looks like Facebook has different looks depending on the country, I cannot find the ID in the About me settings... but will try to find it out! :D

Thanks for the training, very useful!

And I appreciated your help very much Gerlinde. From where I am from the U.S. (Ohio) the ID for your pages, not your personal profile, can be found under the About section.

You are right! I found the ID of my Page, but thought, there would be an ID for my personal profile, too...
But not worries, I don't need it! :D
Thanks, Gerlinde
