The problem many people run into is trying to grow too quick without knowing how to grow? If that doesn't make sense, I am going to explain.

With your website your goal is to initially to get traffic, but after you accomplish this, your goal should be to maximize your opt-in conversions.

Before you aim to get a 10 pages converting, you need to focus on one initially. This will take some testing and refinement of your page content, but once you get ONE page converting well, you can get 10 pages converting just as good.

In other words, don't SCALE mediocrity!

So what is a good conversion rate?

For a squeeze page (an opt-in), you should aim for at least 15-20% conversion rate from traffic to opt-in. This means that one out of every five people that visit your page will join your mailing list. We have run tests in the past where we were able to get much higher (50%+), but this should be your starting point before scaling.

For a typically "pay per sale" offer, you should aim for at least 5% conversions, but this will vary based on what the ROI of your campaign is. For example, if you are spending $15 to make $30, that is a very successful campaign. Aim for a 100% ROI with campaigns that are focused on selling either your own product or an affiliate product. A profit is a profit though, so you will have to determine what ROI is right for you.

Let's take the "work at home scam" page example. What we would want to do is get this page converting at profitable rate or if it is an "opt-in", at a click to lead rate that we are happy with. Once we know that is working and converting well, we can quickly ramp up our campaign for success.

Build first page -> Get to convert at your desired RATE -> Build second page based off first page -> Will likely convert at just the same without any work.

This is how we suggest you work when aiming to scale your campaign. You will be much more successful this way and you will not have to "back track" to fix non-converting pages. Don't guess at it...build off what works!
