WHAT IS THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE?

The Pomodoro Technique was developed in the late 1980s by then university student Francesco Cirillo. Cirillo was struggling to focus on his studies and complete assignments. Feeling overwhelmed, he asked himself to commit to just 10 minutes of focused study time.

Encouraged by the challenge, he found a tomato (pomodoro in Italian) shaped kitchen timer, and the Pomodoro technique was born.

Though Cirillo went on to write a 130-page book about the method, its biggest strength is its simplicity.

Thanks for this Rachele; I've used this technique successfully in the past, particularly for tasks I don't enjoy.
I haven't used it for some time so I appreciate the reminder!

Hi Rick,

I ran across the Pomodoro Technique by accident, and I find it very interesting,
I love the idea of breaking big tasks down into smaller tasks. It has helped me a lot
in my Wealthy Affiliate studies. We have a lot of tools and skills to master, and we can
only take them on one lesson, one training at a time.

Hi Rachel
This truly is a simple technique but it always comes down tithe individual who implements. We are the variable that can make or break our success.
Thank you for sharing this valuable message with us :)

Thanks, Janine

You have a very valid point.
It comes down to us taking action.
You know the old adage - "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
Implementation is key.

Hi, Rachele

Nice tutorial!

I love tomatoes, but I’m not too big on micro-managing my time.

I guess it’s more of a musician’s mentality.

Rock On!🤘
