How Do You Learn Best?

It was not until I was a few years into my first career that I started to give any thought to how I digested information. It is not something that is widely done at schools and now, as I support my daughter's education, I often ask myself, "why not?".

Just think about it.

The sooner you are able to understand how you learn the more effective you will be in educating yourself and managing your development.

That does make sense, doesn't it?

Perhaps it is because it is easier to apply the same plaster to every sore that we do not invest in this understanding. It is however, where you need to start to efficiently and effectively steer your course through our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) University.

Types Of Learning Styles

The jury is still out on how many different learning styles there are. Some say as few as 3 while others define as many as 7 or 9.

For the purpose fo this training, 101 in our series, I will narrow it down to the 4 primary learning styles. From these styles, all others emanate. They are used most frequently in education to provide a platform on which to develop learning.

The 4 styles that we will cover are:

1. Visual
2. Auditory
3. Reading/Writing and,
4. Kinesthetic

Better known as the VARK Model, it was described in a 1992 study by Neil D. Fleming and Coleen E. Mills after thousands of hours of observation, note taking and benchmarking in classrooms.
