WordPress Storage space

All WordPress.com blogs come with 3 GB of space for uploaded files and images.
How many images can you store on 3 GB space?

When you reduce your image < 1 mb you can store at least 3000 pictures
The average default measure width of your blog space is between

450px (with 2 side bars)
900px (with one side bar)
1200px (Full-width-template)

So most pictures can easily be reduced between 300px-1200px before uploading them.

Image reduced to 560 px - 315 px = 222 kb

You can upload up to 15000 images of 222kb with a 3 GB space.

When you upload wisely, you have space enough.

Hope I've understood your questions... Correct me if I'm off.
How to upload an image:
1. Go to your site admin
2. Press the Media on the left sidebar
3. Click the Add New button at the top of the page
4. Drag the picture to want to the drag file anywhere box or click the select files button

Once uploaded the images are saved on your server. You can use the image on whatever page/post you want or remove them if you wish.

Enjoy

Yes, but before you do that, it would be wise to resize your image
