How the Rich Think Differently to Poor People

In his best selling book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" multi-millionaire businessman T. Harv Eker talks about the habits of the rich vs the poor, and how the mega-rich have a different way of thinking than that of the poor or middle class.

Eker goes on to explain that while he believes that in no way are the rich better than poor people, he believes that the number one reason that the rich are rich is their mindset and the particular way that they think, and he uses this example as an extreme way to make his point.

He believes… and I happen to agree with him, that it is your mindset that will help you to get rich, stay rich, and if you happen to lose all your money, will give you the ability to gain it all back again… and more!

Even though you may lose all your money, you can never lose your “Millionaire Mind”

As an example think about Donald Trump.

At one stage Trump was a millionaire and then lost all of his money and went bankrupt.

So did the Don pack up his toupee and get a job packing shelves at K-Mart?

No, Trump went and made all his money back and then some… He then became a “Billionaire”.

You see Donald Trump may of lost all his money, but he didn’t lose his way of thinking, or his“Millionaire Mind” (or in Trumps case billionaire mind)

On the other side of the coin think about all of the lotto winners that end up broke shortly afterwards.

This is all to do with their mindset and how they think about money and wealth.

If you think the way that rich people do, then you can be rich as well.

Eker calls these wealth files.

So over the next couple of weeks I wanted to do a mini book review and cover these "wealth files"

Success is 80% mindset and 20% strategy, so if you want to create wealth from an online business, then working on your mindset is a good place to start!

By the way, if you haven't read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, it is well worth checking out!

Thanks for the reminder John! Read this book a few years ago, and remember really enjoying it. Wonderful to find a summary here. I think these principles can be applied to anything that matters in life - not just money. e.g. Cultivating a growth mindset, following a spiritual path, healing the world...

The money make good things and the money makes bad things, it depends on who has them, good people with money will make good things, bad people with money will make bad things.

Exactly! People often says that money changes people. I believe that money only makes you more of what you already are!
It just amplifies both the good and the bad!
But I believe that you can change your beliefs around money for the better.
Money is only a tool and you should use it for good :-)
