Target Audiences for Wealthy Affiliate

When you sit down and think about all the people in the world that would like to make more money, you could pretty much include just about everyone.

Every person from every little corner of the population could use extra cash and that is really the target audience. So in essence, your target audience consists of the close to 7 BILLION people that live this world, 3.4 of them have high speed internet and would love to have access to a platform like Wealthy Affiliate.

That is a pretty MASSIVE target audience, so within this tutorial I am going to give you a hand with some more targeted examples of audiences and show you exactly how to break them down.

Pretty big and pretty broad right? That was intended to prove the scale of the market that you can promote to, and within this section we are going to explain smaller more niche target audiences and also let you in on some ways in which you can research and market to these audiences.

When many affiliates begin to work on their keyword and industry research for Wealthy Affiliate research, they typically think of the most obvious marketers that are highly relevant to the services offered at Wealthy Affiliate. The main audiences that come to mind are:

  • Making Money
  • Work From Home
  • Internet Marketing
  • Affiliate Marketing

  • Email Marketing

These are fine and they are definitely targeted, however marketers typically run into a wall when they attempt to promote WA under these keywords as they are very competitive. They convert, but they are competitive.

Because of this, we recommend also venturing into other very targeted niches. I have included a list of these below:

Since I'm going to be promoting Wealthy Affiliate in IM (a really large audience) do I need to have different sites or just focus on using the Keywords to get the exposure. Unless I change my Niche it seems to be wasting resources like the time to fill up a site with content - do most successful affiliates use seperate sites or just fully develope the one.

You can have just one site Louis and laser beam your efforts on it. You do have the option to get a second one later which some venture to doing once the first gets fully-developed contents-wise. Great questions sir!

Cheers!

This is good information. I was actually thinking of a specific niche and My wife said that there would probably not be a place for that here and what do you know it is actually on the list and I doubt that alot of folks are using it. Definitely encouraged.

Hey I am not a past convict my self but my work has shown me a need for people who are out of jail to earn a living. its not easy for a excon to find work that much better than minimum wage. Their recovery and "going straight" plans get sidetracked, but a lack of opportunities. so here is a target market

cashforexcons
income for excons
abetterlife after prison

Thoughts?

OK Kyle before I go on I need to make sure I'm picking up what your putting down, so I pick the sub of 'baby boomers about to retire' and I add the word in and i get in texas , in florida, so you say ok theres 2 more keywords. then i put how at the beginning and i get how baby boomers about to retire and i get travel and relocate, and adjust to spare time, and don't kill each other etc. So then in my blogs or posts about internet marketing businesses/ oppertunitys I should be able to strategically place these keywords as previousley instructed, without over stuffing, and that's going to get me SEO and elevate my website in Google Rankings. Ex: So that you baby boomers about to retire don't kill each other, diving into the world of home based, online ,intrnet marketing might be just what you need. And then base that whole post around that theme?

No matter what target audience you're after, when finding keywords you need to use either the free keyword tool or Jaaxy to find low competition / high traffic keywords to write your articles around.

Is "baby boomers about to retire" a high traffic / low competition keyword? I can't imagine "baby boomers about to retire don't kill each other" is since that one doesn't even make grammatical sense. Instead, find high traffic keywords / low competition keywords and make sure each article is focused on one of those and that's how you slowly build your traffic.

You have to think of each of your posts as an answer to a question someone is asking. When you find popular questions people are asking, you can now build your site up with those answers and start building traffic.
