What is Tumblr and Why Would You Use It?

Tumblr is another Social Networking / Social Share platform.

I can almost hear the audible groans...oh no, not another one...and this tutorial isn't to convince you either way about Tumblr membership, You can decide that for yourself.

What I do want to show you is how incredibly simple (if you set up a Tumblr account...which is also simple to do) it is to share your content and reach thousands of potential customers, followers and leads.

Tumblr is all about sharing and it is as they claim "effortless". In about 3 or 4 clicks your content is designed into images slides or a blogroll and sent into Tumblr land.

You can post text, images, videos, music...anything...directly from your browser in seconds.

After spending hours creating wonderful content which is highly optimized and has awesome images why would you not spend 20 seconds posting 2 shares to Tumblr and get your content...with all your links...in front of thousands of potential visitors and customers....

HI there, you've convinced me to try! Now, tell me what's the difference or better advantage compared to pinterest?
Thanks, Stefan

I was curious about this too!
Although I think that with Tumblr the use of hashtags will be more effective, as in Pinterest it's slightly different as opposed to Twitter, for example.

Kasotty is correct and of course they are different markets
Tumblr draws the visual crowd like P interest but also allows a more Facebook xperiemce with your own blog roll .

You can also use IFTTT to automate posting to Tumblr & other social media. Loads of possibilities https://ifttt.com/tumblr
