What is Tumblr and Why Would You Use It?

Tumblr is another Social Networking / Social Share platform.

I can almost hear the audible groans...oh no, not another one...and this tutorial isn't to convince you either way about Tumblr membership, You can decide that for yourself.

What I do want to show you is how incredibly simple (if you set up a Tumblr account...which is also simple to do) it is to share your content and reach thousands of potential customers, followers and leads.

Tumblr is all about sharing and it is as they claim "effortless". In about 3 or 4 clicks your content is designed into images slides or a blogroll and sent into Tumblr land.

You can post text, images, videos, music...anything...directly from your browser in seconds.

After spending hours creating wonderful content which is highly optimized and has awesome images why would you not spend 20 seconds posting 2 shares to Tumblr and get your content...with all your links...in front of thousands of potential visitors and customers....

Looks great Jason and thanks for the training. I must ask is sharing your post on Tumblr not duplicating your own original content?

I believe it's not a duplication as that's the reason 'share' button exists unless he warns it cannot be shared. That's just my opinion.

Hi. It's not duplicate content because the links guide you back to the original source if someone clicks to read it or clicks annimage they arrive at my site on the original url.. As TJamil said you and others share it but the only content is still your post at the same url.

It's duplicate if they find the same words/content on tow or more different websites e.g. press releases . If I issued a press release and this was posted by 3 newspapers as their own article then there would be 3 identical posts each with a unique url pointing to a unique domain. That's duplicate.

Hope that makes sense

Correct It's a share .nothing is being duplicated. There is still only one actual post existing
