What is Tumblr and Why Would You Use It?

Tumblr is another Social Networking / Social Share platform.

I can almost hear the audible groans...oh no, not another one...and this tutorial isn't to convince you either way about Tumblr membership, You can decide that for yourself.

What I do want to show you is how incredibly simple (if you set up a Tumblr account...which is also simple to do) it is to share your content and reach thousands of potential customers, followers and leads.

Tumblr is all about sharing and it is as they claim "effortless". In about 3 or 4 clicks your content is designed into images slides or a blogroll and sent into Tumblr land.

You can post text, images, videos, music...anything...directly from your browser in seconds.

After spending hours creating wonderful content which is highly optimized and has awesome images why would you not spend 20 seconds posting 2 shares to Tumblr and get your content...with all your links...in front of thousands of potential visitors and customers....

I am going to try Tumblr. Thanks for sharing this. There is so many different social media’s out there. If you were to pick 3 to use on your site, which would you choose ?

Hey
I know what you mean. I tend to use Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as my main modes of engagement
But I link all of them with Google Plus, Tumblr and Pinterest.
And my social share bar... I use social warrior - offers all the above plus Reddit and Stumbleupon

Often it depends what you want to share. Normal posts tend to work best on Facebook, Google plus and stumble upon.
More dedicated niche specific topics and forum style posts work better for me on reddit and Tumblr
Image and recipes I send to Instagram, twitter and Pinterest

My Instagram, YouTube and Tumblr accounts are linked to Facebook, twitter, Google plus and stumble upon... So if I post to Tumblr it automatically posts to all the others

Long winded answer.. Apologies.. But worth mentioning as I get most sales due to social traffic arriving at my blogs and offers
