Google Algorithm uses different methods to know how the pages of a website will rank on its search engine. There are several factors that determine if you will rank higher or lose your ranking on search engines.
Gaining higher rankings on search engines is one way of driving traffic to your site. There are several things you can do to make sure the traffic to your website increases.
Make Your Website Mobile-Friendly
Mobile searches have become very common in recent times and are definitely on the rise. Google has put into consideration mobile users' needs and has indicated that pages which aren’t accessible by mobile searchers will not rank on its SERPs.
You need to make the pages of your website mobile-friendly. This is especially for websites that use intrusive interstitial ads. To check and know if your site is mobile-friendly, go to your Search Console and check up the Mobile Usability Report.
If you take note of any mobile issues, you need to investigate and address them properly. Also, make use of Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP). This makes it easy for your pages to get loaded on mobile devices.
The Mobile Playbook showed that 20% of all online searches are for local content. It was broken down thus – 94% of them looked up some local information, 51% visited an online store, 48% of them put a call through and 29% bought something.
In the interest of such findings, Google put in efforts to help users access the best of local results. This is why it is important to have the right information for Google’s “My Business Profile”. This makes it easy for your business to get listed. Give your visitors the best user experience they can get.
I have been able to get the images on my blog posts to show up properly, but my home page sliding banner wont show the picture, its just grey with text. As well the images for a few buttons wont show up either.. I wasn't able to solve this problem the same way I discovered for my blog post images, which was going through the pictures elements and adding the "s" onto "http", but I cant do that with this issue..
Any recommendations?
