They are calling it the social network for work. I mentioned in Slack in my previous video about Monkey Test It (you can see that one here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/an-army-o...)

Slack provides real-time messaging for teams without everyone having to share phone numbers and email addresses. But it's much more than just another messaging app.

I think most of us here at WA are "solopreneurs", so it might not seem relevant. But what makes Slack really cool, and useful even to those of us without a big team, is all the apps that you can add to increase functionality.

I counted 97 apps in the Slack app directory. Some of these apps, like Box and Wunderlist may already be familiar to you. Others, like the social media scheduling app Yala or Monkey Test It are pretty new.

If you use Slack, let me know in the comments below. How do you use it? What's your favorite app?

And as always, please click the green "Like This" button below if you benefit from this training. I'd really appreciate if you'd post your questions, comments, suggestions and corrections below!

Mahalo,

Joe

You're welcomed Chrissie. I hadn't heard of it either until a couple of months ago, but it seems it's been around for a few years already.

I looked for a LinkedIn app in Slack, but couldn't find one. Might be that they consider them to be competitors.
