The procedure for opening an account on Upwork is more complicated and demanding than, for example, an application for a USA visa! There's even an interview on Skype! and more. Photocopies of documents, invoices, IDs, passports, addresses, IDs ........ As far as work and payments are concerned, they have no competition with how strong they are.
