Find your competitors who rank on the first page on google, yahoo, bing, etc.

Then comment on that site and add your link with your comment.

After that, put that link on your website.

You will be amazed

I know this post is old but after seeing this im a bit confused on what to do. Are you saying ad your website url to their comment? or add a link to your comment, on your webpage. thanks for the help

I would interpret this to means.

1. Comment on a Competitors website and leave your own website URL along with the comment.

2. In a post on your own website, link to the comment you left

Never tried it myself but worth a try I think!

Almost all comment section links are no follow so it's not going to give you any backlinks but if it's a popular blog and you leave an interesting comment someone might visit your site because of it.

At this point, I wouldn't waste much time on this. Creating content that gets ranked in Google SERPs is your main focus.

Fantastic tips, thanks! I immediately did a walkthrough-video and posted it on https://youtu.be/N7sel5Ps7TE

(will do the linking-thing later on)

Maybe my efforts can inspire others, but tips for improvement are always welcome of course :-)
