Creating a website and having your business running can be very interesting and a source of joy. But one of those things that can cut shot this joyful moment is if your website got hacked. Many times we are not aware that it has happened.

It is dangerous because it simply means your website has been un-safe for a long time. Its side effect is a negative effect on your website. It ranges from losing website visitors, to damaging website privacy and reputation.

Our websites are central to our businesses. They anchor virtually all our business activities from our customers' data, to daily transactions and even our intellectual properties. All are focused on our websites. We cannot afford to be ignorant about the security of such an important asset.

Worth mentioning and appreciating is the high level of security put in place by Wealthy Affiliate for a website hosted on this platform. According to kyle, they have secured exclusive technology for the security of their member’s websites. But I feel it is of essence and important that we are still aware of various signs in the case of an attack.

Below are seven prominent sign that your website got hacked.

Great information, I guess there are some very resourceful people out there, being one step ahead is the difference between having a bit of a bad week to having a truly disastrous week.

👍

I now have a folder in my Gmail menu that is purely for your training, the only other folder I have named is Nataniell’s, because like you the snippets are gold.

Yes Cordelia,

We have to be steps ahead, and this will come from the right information. It will also help us protect our work from hackers and other miscreants out there.

I am highly challenged hearing that you created a folder for my pieces of training in your Gmail box. This is a challenge to do more and create informative content.
Also, it is an honour I do not take for granted.

Thank you

Hi Lew,
I appreciate that phrase "heads up information ". It is important we are always on our toes protecting that which is ours from fraudulent and malicious miscreants out there.

I am glad you found it engaging. Although a lot of us here are on WA hosting which is highly secured as I mentioned. But we need to be aware to watch out against these malicious elements activities.

These are good ways to check and see if your website is being hacked friend. Number 4 was a surprised to me. I didn't know that a hosting company can disable your website if they suspect spamming or hacking activities even though you are paying to have your website running. I guess I'm always learning something. Thanks for an informative post. All the best!

Hi John,

I appreciate the time taken to see the training. Hosting companies do that to keep their servers free from Malware. This will also protect other client's website from getting affected.
