When my blog was on a Wordpress.com platform, I was able to use the Jetpack Publicize feature to show my total social media follower count in a widget. Unfortunately, the Publicize facility that is packaged in the Jetpack for Wordpress.org doesn't include this.

If you have a good social media following, this helps to give your site credibility and increases the trust factor, so I worked out how to display the count in a static form with a link through to my social media account so visitors can check its validity and follow if they wish.

First, use a screen grabber to copy the image of your social media follower count.

I use Jing which is a great, free app from https://www.techsmith.com/jing.html - I love this little sun which sits on the side of my screen and lets me clip an image from anything on my screen.
