Back in the early days of both Wealthy Affiliate, WA, and the sharing of links on social media, affiliate marketing was more widely accepted. However for various reasons, that has now changed in this current day and age.
SOCIAL MEDIA & GOOGLE FEEL THE SAME WAY
Because of the explosive growth in affiliate marketing both from legitimate and not so favorable affiliate programs, people are sharing affiliate links with increasing frequency. If you do not know by now, Google does not like affiliate marketing websites with many affiliate links.
With so many people into affiliate marketing, too many people are over using their affiliate links and both Google and social media are starting to crackdown. But there is a way around the blocking of affiliate links that I have been successfully doing for the past year and I will share how in this tutorial.
NEXT UP = Which social media networks will block or accept WA affiliate links
I went through this training quite a while ago, perhaps when you first posted it, it did make sense to me and bookmarked it as I knew that one day it would come handy.
At the time, I wanted to remain focused on the Bootcamp training before exploring new techniques.
Since a couple of months, the number of new referrals that I am getting has seriously dropped. Appart from a couple of websites that I have created, I have been promoting affiliate products extensively on social platforms, that includes WA affiliate links.
Till now it worked very well (till about 2 months ago). Then I came across this training of yours, which answered my question: Why has it stopped working?.. I found the answer in your training: the social platforms I am posting on are blocking my posts!
So, I decided to give your idea a try. I am now working on two new small sites. It is indeed very easy to do.
I have a question though:
Following what you are saying that we don't need to worry about SEO, ranking, producing lots of content, etc., I am assuming that we also don't need to worry about duplicate content, right? Not that I intend to copy from other sites anyway, but it is just to know what your think.
I wish you the very best and thanks for producing this useful training which I am sure is very useful for many members at Wealthy Affiliate.
John
It does make sense not to care about getting ranked by Google seeing that it is solely for social media.
Thanks for the tips on how many times to post and when.
I read a few blog posts on how members get blocked and it doesn't have to be that way.
Great tutorial, I'm sure it will benefit many members as it benefits me. Thanks for sharing your small website.
