Hey, Kyle. I was wondering how to get the copyright protection all rights reserved footer on my site. I see you have it in yours, but I just installed and acivated 3 different copyright plugins but it won't show up in mine. The footer is still the original format regarding WordPress.

Kyle on your training webinar "Setting Your Website Up for Search Engines", I followed your directions, then typed in the name of my site on Google. But I never got anything that was listed as being similar to my site as did you when you were giving your example of "five best skills of basketball. Should my entry come up on Google as did yours?

A great lesson. I did every step and even checked the sourcepage to see if the "titles and keywords" were set which they were.
I noticed one thing even though it´s a pretty small one but at the time of recording this video one indeed had 360 characters to use in the "home description box". They seem to have change that now to only 160 char´s. :)
As I do know that Wordpress is in a constant update-mode it´s difficult to keep up with every details.:)

As always very greatful for the amazing tutorials.. :)

Best regards,
Wresh =)

Well. It took some time, but I finally got lesson six finished. I tried to over think it, which I wouldn't advise anyone to do. It was just a few clicks to do. I kept trying to make sure I didn't overlook anything. If someone who is more experienced would have time, please check to see if I did it right. I want to get someone's opinion before I move on to lesson 7. Thank you in advance.

I am really learning so much from all these videos.

Just the training's alone are worth the monthly payment.

Not to mention the blazing fast web hosting, live events with little Jay ( that are full of rich content), 24/7 live chat to get questions answered, oh and did I mention a powerful keyword research tool in Jaaxy.. Wow really all this for $49 a month.

Thank you Kyle, so much. Until this point of training (college to me), you've been succeeded in simplifying years of our effort to become only hours, about the knowledge of building a safe&sound; site. That's the beauty of learning from expert/master (either schience/technical or experience/market.). Because you've shown us the map.

Though finally after the site complete and sound we still have to concern about security ie as part of our responsibility to our users/costummers (just as mentioned in the WA front page: over 27 attacks last year), but now I know that I dont have to worry programming languages as WordPress has already covered it. Thanks again Kyle

OK. So I was overthinking login process and building my webpage. I’m just so excited I’m going to far when I should just be going step-by-step. I’m used to several different login and pages and sites with complications; now I see I can’t relax and just follow the process.

These videos are great, very informative. We do have a question about the SEO set-up. We set it up no problem, however when we right click on our website, we aren't seeing 'view page source' as an option. We are using a Mac in Safari the same as Kyle. Wondering why we aren't showing the same menu when we right or two finger click on the site. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This gave me an explanation of SEO. I had no idea what SEO was prior to this video. I heard the term but did not have a clue of its meaning. It is nice to know that a 3 letter acronym was not as scary to understand as I thought. How simple!

Hi there, this was a great video explaining some of the behind the scenes stuff that you hear about but can't make sense of until it is broken down just like you have done here. A question for you.. if you set up a siterubix website with all the bells and whistles then want to buy your own domain name down the track, what happens if the name is already taken in the real world? Can you transfer your site info over to a new domain or do you have to start again from scratch? I ask because so far finding a name for my site that covers everything I want to do is hard as there are a lot of domain names that are already taken or if they are available to buy, they are at premium prices. What tips and tricks do you suggest to make sure you get a good one up front? (or is it just more important to get something happening now so I can play around with it and change things around down the track?). Thanks in advance team for your advice!
Reply
mackiejw Premium
You can transfer to any name you wish. Best way is to check name availability first though, and chances are that nobody takes it in the few weeks until you are ready to buy your own

I have not set up thru your last video because I have this nagging question: Is it premature to start thinking about or even ADDING photos of the big dollar items I will eventually want to sell (in a month or two)? For example, I have old cars and parts as my niche (too broad?). Will that be in a future level or lesson?

I'm a little concerned at the implication that all you have to do to get ranked is add a good description and a handful of keywords. I understand that you don't want to overcomplicate it at this stage, but I think you should be mentioning that keywords in blog posts and tags in blog posts are much more important than header information and at least mention backlinks. Do you cover backlinks in a subsequent lesson?
Reply
Hi, Phil. I think that comes in the next lesson(s). We are about to start adding the content that makes all we just did work for us. Just keep on keeping on. It's all coming together. But setting up the SEO stuff first makes sense, as it will work for us as soon as our content is added. It's already in place, to go to work for us the instant we add our content!

Great stuff !!! I have been involved with " other " sites and they don't take the time to break it down for you so that you really understand the inner workings. I strongly recommend taking notes . And if you don't understand something , pump the breaks , do some research , until you at least have a basic understanding of what's going on . This is a marathon not a sprint . Best of luck and God bless .

I added the SEO -all -in-one plug -in and I didn't have any trouble. I've noticed in the comments that some people are having trouble. If they had just installed the plug-in is there a possibility that it was already the latest version and didn't need to be updated?

Anyways I am anxious to continue on I had taken a small break to prepare for the holidays and also wanted to have some research and content completed. I can not lie I do have butterflies in my belly although I do understand this is a process and I no better than to expect results immediately I still think that this is a major accomplishment all be it a personal one for myself. I have been going back and forth with this start an online biz/start a blog path for almost a year now.

WIsh me luck!
And in case we're not in touch between now and the holiday. I wish u and ur family an amazing fun-filled day of great food great wine and great company... these are the days that end up being life-long memories especially for the little ones!

Hi,
Question: I think I did a major blunder with naming my website so vaguely. I didn't narrow down my niche. I'm realising now buy seeing how you created your website. because now, to write the about me page is difficult for me. Is there a way of changing it.

James1-4 Premium
Hi Sabra,

Are you referring to having bought a domain name or the name that you used at SiteRubix.com ?

If SiteRubix.com, it doesn't matter. You will change it when you purchase a domain name.

If you already purchased a domain name, it still doesn't matter. Google is not concerned about the name of your Website, it is concerned about the keywords you use and the content that you post. The name would only be of interest to visitors if it contradicts your content. As Kyle states, Apple Inc. is not about and does not sell apples.

SO its very easy to follow your steps and wait for the rest to be explained.

I am excited about my journey with WA. The videos thus far have been concise and to the point and love the fact that there aren't any promotions within the training. I had a question:

1) Is it best to wait until you have a decent amount of content on your website prior to setting up to be indexed by Google, Bing, and Yahoo?

( I learned from another training platform that Google can index your website without a lot of content really far back. It will take more time for your ranking to improve when adding more content.)

Thanks Guys!
Reply
derekbainbri Premium
From my understanding, Ranking and indexing are two different breeds. Google will index fairly quickly, within days, but that is only a listing. The ranking takes months to appear, so the sooner you post at least once or twice a week consistently, Google and other search engines will crawl your site more often, and the sooner your site will actually rank with Google. Do not publish more than one post at a time, you want search engines to keep coming back and give them a reason to crawl your site. If anything, it's good to keep a bunch of articles as drafts and slowly publish each one every 3-4 days. I'm sure you know to make sure they are original works or at least rewritten in your own words and opinions to avoid copyright infringement or even worse, plagiarism. Hope that helps
Reply

Thanks for the info on posting every 3-4 days but brainstorming on the drafts keeps your mind focused, I suppose.

In this video, Kyle takes you step by step through the 'All in 1 SEO' (plugin) setup process for your WordPress website. It then shows how to enter SEO keywords into this plugin, which are used for your sites back end coding. They are also automatically generated into and pulled into the search engine page titles that you see when you use Google, etc. Informative and helpful.

Hey, i have a question about the home title and home description, if i want to build a site in different language (Hebrew) it is better to write the title and description in that languagh?

and if i'm considering translating the site in the future to English as well how wiil it effect the SEO, are there any preperation i need to do for that regarding SEO?

Thanks for the helpers.
Reply
rufat Premium
If you plan to create a site in Hebrew it's totally ok. Google will rank your site and will show it in local search results related to Hebrew language. Later you can create a second version of your site in English language and Google will rank your site as well in English language. You don't need to create two separate sites. All this info will be on the same site in two versions: Hebrew and English. Google will rank both of them. If you plan to create Hebrew site first it's ok. Write your title and description in that language.

No just the back end where Kyle shows how to check the page source information.

If it’s just the backend I believe your find. The “ <title> word <\title> “ stuff is what tells the page source the value of the words and How you want it represented on the website. As long as it’s not showing in your love version nothing to worry about. Just a bit of coding

Kyle, I am running Windows 10. At the end of the video where you right click on the webpage, my dropdown window does not show the same choices as yours. The bottom one says 'Inspect' and when I chose that a window on the right side opens which shows a lot of code programming language. I can see the title of my webpage there. I was not sure if this accomplished the same thing as on your system or not so I wanted to just make sure. Thanks
Reply
mbrasseau Premium
I'm not Kyle, but yes that's it. I have Linux, using Chrome, and mine says "Inspect" also, which opens it up on the right side as well. I'll do my best to walk you around it.

At the very top of the whole console section, the first section is very tiny and cannot be seen well. If you hover your cursor just under the band that has "html body #page #content ..." , you'll see a vertical arrow appear to indicate you can click/drag that bottom line and open up and extend that very top section. Do that. Then you can see what he is talking about.

You'll see an right-pointing solid arrow next to <head>...</head>. Click that arrow to open up the header. THEN you'll see ALL of the things he was explaining... the meta for the title, the meta for the description, etc.

I hope my explanation makes sense.

In the beginning I was careless when writing down the Domain name and Website title. Both names are not fine to consider for my niche website, let alone to write what all my website is about. My question, is there a way to change the Domain name and the Website title? Or I should just close my account, and start all over so I can come up with better name for my website?
Reply
JamesBain1 Premium
Good question lastdate65. WA allows us to purchase domain names and link them to any of our websites that we build/create. From my understanding we can move the domain names around (interchange) to any of our websites that we build. You can change the title of your site in the builder then link a new domain name that you prefer to use.
Reply
littlemama Premium
You don't need to close your WA account. You just have to delete the domain and start over. The free sites you're using can be deleted and start over again no problem.

Domain names cannot be changed once they are created, only Website Title can be changed. I suggest you just delete the site you created and just start another one. :)

Correct. You can still purchase a domain name and WA will point it to your WA website. That way you don't have to use the free website domain ....example: your-site-name.siterubix.com. Instead you can have a domain similiar to mine baindigitalmedia.com

Reply

It's possible that browsers have updated since the time of that tutorial so that a simple right click doesn't give the option of "Viewing Source Code" anymore. What I would do is Google "how to view source code in IE" and see what pops up. I can't remember in that tutorial what Kyle's asking you to do with that, but if it's not for something specific, you may be alright in just knowing the concept behind it.
