Excellent post...scheduling your posts can be very powerful for rankings. If Google and other SE"s see that your content is being updated regularly, they will tend to give you higher rankings.
You can leverage scheduling to run your content roll outs in autopilot...that is, you could set up several months of posts at once. Very powerful stuff and something that I have been utilizing for years.
