Adverts are often touted as the bread and butter of sites. They can generate income quite passively. Depending on the network, and your level of traffic this can be true.

I tend not to use an advertising network like Google Adsense myself, as I feel if you advertise your affiliate products instead, you could potentially generate higher revenue.

As normal, it is dependent on your own site and niche.

In order to keep track of the adverts I use and to rotate them for me I am using a free plugin called AdRotate. This can be used brilliantly for affiliate banners.

It is however not intuitive to set up so I am going to walk you through it.

The plugin can be found here and is free. I am going to assume you can download it, install it and activate it yourself.

Nice tutorial. You refer to code in Step 1 and Step 3 that does not show on my screen. Other than that, a nice tutorial. Now all I need to do is identify the products to put where.
