I would venture to say that over half and maybe up to 65 or 70% of internet users are not familiar with the use of “Reverse Image Searches” .

Firstly, I would like to provide a short list and identify of some of the search engines available that make these types of searches. Some but not all of these engines use mobile as well as a computer for the search.

Listed below are a few of the search engines which can do an IMAGE search.

Please note that the image search engines were not originally used for people searches. They were generally used for inanimate objects and not for social media catfishing.

1)Google Images – (https://images.google.com/ ) A content based image retrieval system that searches based on the color, texture and shape of the image. Google was the first to come out with reverse image search

2)Tin Eye – (https://www.tineye.com/ ) Up to 150 searches per week free. The Toronto based company is one of the best engines which uses color search.

3) Berify – (https://berify.com/ ) Is someone stealing my Images without my permission? Berify’s image matching algorithm searches over 800 million images and includes image data from all of the major search engines.

4)Bing – (https://www.bing.com) Click on the camera then insert an image or URL. The result will appear on a search results page. You can also search for creative commons (CC) images by using the using the “Search by License Filter”.

Of course this could be useful if you are searching for an image for your blog or website that is free to use.

5)Yandex – ( https://yandex.com/images/) The Russian reverse image search engine. 100% Free . The most used in Russia with a market share of approximately 65%.
