It is Reward Time

Yes, you have done a fabulous job at developing new public speaking skills through this tutorial. No doubt you've read information that can help you have greater confidence in facing your public speaking fears. Remember, this isn't an overnight process. You won't go to bed after reading this tutorial and wake up tomorrow with all those fears cured. But you have learned some strategies that can make the experience of public speaking and engaging an audience a rewarding one.

Making the Connection

Have you made the connection between public speaking and writing killer content in your online marketplace? The ability to communicate is one of humanity's distinguishing factors. To reach the heart of your audience and to know they have been empowered to act, is one of life's great joys. I had never written content for a website, let alone build one, before I joined Wealthy Affiliate Network in March of 2015. Yet, my public speaking experience gave me the confidence to join this network, write engaging blog posts and reviews, and start a career as an English tutor. You, too, can succeed at public speaking.

You will be motivated to apply yourself to developing public speaking skills that will enhance your online business.

Conclusion

Thank you very much for working through this tutorial. I trust that it has given you reasons and motivation to work at public speaking. Megan Washington did it! So can you! By no means does this tutorial cover all the skills you need. But it has given you the foundation to believe, the confidence to do, and the skills to shine.

So a quick question. I am looking at updating this training in the future. What other micro skills could I include to ramp up the effectiveness? Love to hear everyone's views.

I find meditation to be a great way of focusing the mind. I then use positive affirmations to constantly remind myself that I am as good as anyone else out there and I do know what I am talking about. Also, the art of seeing yourself in that future position becomes more and more real, the more you practice it.

Hi Jude.
Absolutely. If you haven't read the book, Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, I highly recommend it. It discussed worthiness and how we can reach the state of believing we are enough, we can do it. She also has some great TED talks.

Know your topic, is 100 true. I hate public speaking, and avoid it, but the times I haven't been as nervous are the times I felt like I was just sharing information that I knew very well. It was much more relaxing, if you could ever say that about public speaking! :)
