Thanks for this template Nicole. I have a question. I thought Kyle told us in the training that we could use screenshots of products in our reviews. I have several reviews for Amazon products with screenshots, but now people are telling me I can be sued by Amazon. Which is right?
Reply
leidys Premium
Why would they sue you? If you are using screenshots of their site, you are inadvertently promoting them. Unless you are using the pictures to provide false information, you are not doing anything wrong.

Why not be safe and just go to Amazon and copy their image? If you are selling their products then you could make them clickable.
I am just saying....

Thanks so much for your reply. I thought the same thing, but I've actually had several ambassadors at WA tell me that Amazon could sue me for using screenshots of Amazon products on my review posts.

Actually, I thought using screenshots would be even safer than copying the images from Amazon since Kyle did it in his review training. Thanks so much for your help!

There are logical buyers, emotional buyers, and those who are a bit of both (50/50 logical/emotional). How can we improve product review templates to appeal to all three types of buyers?
Reply
judebanks Premium
It's not really something that you would include in a template, unless you think in terms of design and colors that may trigger different reactions.

To appeal to emotional buyers: share a story or experience that is relevant to the usefulness of the product.

To appeal to logical buyers, give them facts and figures and discuss the value of the product. Comparison tables can work well for this.

Combine the two to get the best results. ~Jude

I admit to being tentative entering this part of the training and site building.

Purchasing and owning all the products I intend to review would be cost prohibitive in my niche. How can one review a product they have not tried? Nathaniell's training was a great help here: ( How do you provide product review value for your visitors? I've reconciled this question by broading my perceptions of Product Review to include organized Feature Research, Item Comparisons, and Personal Opinion.

How to project the notion of authority? This tutorial has helped me here. Nicole's template provides a means for projecting professionalism and hopefully sincerity and trust to my readers.

I plan to modify the template to fit the products I will be reviewing, but now I feel I can move forward with much clearer plan of action.

Thanks Nicole for helping me break through my metal block on this.

You don't have to own all the products you review. Just have to do your homework, research the product, read others' reviews, consumer reports, etc., and then reassemble all the info in your own words and with your own assessment/opinion.

Thanks for a great post. I think using a template for writing reviews is a great way to save time and remain consistent. A better way is to use a service like Yotpo which generates tons of reviews for store owners. Affiliates can still use it by writing reviews manually. Check it out.
