How do you Keep your content to the point and relevant to your audience? How do you escape the clutches of generic cliché writing? You know what I mean, people tend to lean on “stuff that's working” while losing their own voice and image at the same time.
Sometimes it's easy to forget that we all can tell the same story so many different ways. Just pay attention to how many blockbuster films wear out the hero story. It's practically the same story told in different contexts. Yet we all say the same thing when we leave the theater, “man that was a great film” or “man that film was horrible” even though we all know it's the same storyline as the other 100 films we have watched in a given period of time.
This is sort of how you want to look at content online. I don't know about you but I've noticed that a great majority of websites and blogs talking about online marketing, are talking about the same subjects over and over again. Even the content you're watching now isn't that unique when you compare it to other content online as far as subject and theme goes. However, I can guarantee you that you haven't heard this same subject told to you in this format before.
That's because I am taking on a unique perspective about the subject of creating content because this is how I really feel about the subject and what I truly understand about the subject based on experience. Not only that, but my content is also based on my brand delivery which is plan build and promote. My main content is based around this theme.
This is generally what you want to do when you are creating content. Before you start building your content, stop for a second and think about what it is you can do to help set your content apart from similar topics online. What is the message I want to send to my audience? Think about that for a moment.
As you think about that, think about what your personal brand message is and how you can tailor your main content around that overall message. As you do this, more ideas will come to you and you will be able to naturally produce filler content
