We all know Pinterest can be an organic traffic powerhouse, but it can also become a maze of wasted time if you do not have a basic grasp on what will get people saving and re-pinning your content.

Creating authentic pins of your very own as opposed to saving pins is paramount to success on pinterest and also gives you full control of where your content will end up in a search or followers boards.

Very well put Ross. As soon as you have your pins sorted out, they need to be associated with particular boards preferably niche related for maximum effect!

Agreed Michael!
Definitely the finishing touch on everything. Just like a good stamp collection. Boards having a good description will hit maximum effect.

Ross I have a question I am new to Pinterest so when you say pin is that's when you save another persons image to your board?

I refer to pinning and re-pinning as creating your own pins, Ill try to fix my wording in there as well. Best course of action if you are on PC is to save the image to your desktop and create a brand new pin altogether. Sometimes when I go on a spree Ill quickly save pins to a secret board Ive created so I can come back and save the images to my computer as to keep track of what Ive uploaded for the day.

Hi, Ross. When you save somebody elses' pin image to your desktop and create a brand new pin, isn't that seen as copyright infringement?

Being a public domain when you upload content to Pinterest you are agreeing to have your images, linked, saved or shared by others. I did a good amount of research on the legalities of it and still have a fair bit.

Now in the case of saving pins from sites directly and uploading them, I would have to say there could be a problem, maybe. But most sites will include a tag that won't allow the pin app to be used when on that particular domain.
