How Will YOU Make Money Online?

Great question!

The reality is that there are many ways to make money online! The problem is that people often get distracted by the "latest and greatest" product or service and they are never able to build a successful (and revenue generating) business as a result.

Today I am going to run you through one of the most fundamental, yet powerful processes of generating revenue online.

It is a proven process, it is one that we use, and one that 100,000's of other Wealthy Affiliate members use. It is also the ultimate "making money" process that worked 5 years ago and it is going to work 5 years from now (and beyond). It is a process that will reveal as much opportunity in the massive online world as you are willing to work for!

It is called Affiliate Marketing.

But, just one thing before you get into the MONEY "stuff"...

The making money part of your business won't happen quite yet.

Before you earn money, you are going to first be focusing on creating your niche website (which will take place in the next two lessons) and are working to get traffic to your website. Without a website, without content, and without traffic, the MONEY part simply doesn't happen.

So don't look at this like a race. You will reach success and a great deal of it, but before you build your own personal SKYSCRAPER of a business, you must first have a solid FOUNDATION to build it on. That is going to be our first goal within the Getting Started training. Cool?

Alright, let's continue on! :)

Below is a video walk-through of today's lesson and the process of "How to Make Money Online - The Process Explained". Just click the PLAY button to watch it!

In the coming days are going to be working through this process and by the end of this Level 1 training alone, you are going to have an awesome foundation in place that will lead you to much greater success.

Task #1: Understand the Make Money Process

There are MANY different ways that you can earn money online and many different ways in which you can build an entire business. The most lucrative and the one that we have been teaching here at Wealthy Affiliate for the past 14 years is Affiliate Marketing.

Below is a diagram outlining the process of making money through affiliate marketing.

There are now over 4 BILLION people online as of 2019 (YOUR audience) and these people are going to search engines, social media, or visiting websites for help all the time.

These people are looking for information, solutions to problems and to buy stuff.

That is where you are going to come in with your website and help these "audiences" by offering them information about what they are looking for. You will be "helping" these people, recommending products/services they can benefit from, and you earn affiliate commissions ($$) as a result.

There are over 550 MILLION products/services that you can promote as an affiliate marketer. The opportunity is incredible and it is only growing!

By Lesson 4 of this course you are going to have your very own "niche" website in place that you will use to connect with your chosen audience and make money with. You will have your very own slice of the internet opportunity.

Task #2: Create (Write Down) Your Financial Goals

You want to earn revenue right? That is great! In order to earn anything however, you need to have some goals in place.

In this task we want you to join in on a "money goals" discussion here at Wealthy Affiliate. You are going to be telling us what your goals are and going forward, we are going to be helping you achieve these very goals!

QUESTION #1: How much money would you be happy earning?

QUESTION #2: How much would you be ecstatic (ie, really excited) earning?

QUESTION #3: And how much TIME are you willing to invest to achieve these goals?

PLEASE make 100% sure that you do not skip this step and you revisit this post regularly when you are in need of some motivation. I can absolutely assure you that if you work hard at this and you are persistent towards these goals, you will achieve them. But ultimately it is UP TO YOU!

JOIN DI$CU$ION: What Are Your "Money" Goals?

In addition to this, it would be wonderful if you commented on someone else's goals they have posted within this thread. Aim to comment on at least TWO people's goals. You likely can network with many other "like minded" people here at Wealthy Affiliate and this is a good way to get your networking efforts rolling. We are a friendly bunch here at WA!

If you have any questions about any aspect of the make money process, feel free to leave them in the comments below.

Awesome, off to the next lesson now where you will be "choosing your niche"!

I'm not ready to take on another cost just yet to improve my site. Can I create content for my site before I register for another monthly bill? I have student loans, mortgage, car payment, insurance, utilities, etc. I want to create content first to see if I have what it takes with the information I've gathered so far. I feel like it's pressure to get the upgrade. In the Jaxxy the keywords were blocked out. Let me develop content for this site and create menu items to see if I've learned anything from the videos. I need time to decide to manage another monthly bill.

Are you talking about an upgrade to Premium Membership? You can upgrade at any time when you're ready. However, the Starter membership is limited in resources (not in time, though). You can still work on your content, but you only have 10 free lessons in the Online Entrepreneur Certification course and 30 free Jaaxy searches for free. The only "pressure" is that you are receiving a $30 discount for the first month if you upgrade rather sooner than later. Other than that, nobody pressures you.

HI Elvie,

Many Affiliate marketers have bills just like the ones you have listed. It is not uncommon in today's society to have a debt burden. If you are serious about giving this an honest try then you will become creative and figure out a way to make it possible!

You can remain a free starter member and start-up two different free siterubix.com subdomain websites to see if you can earn money by doing Affiliate Marketing.

However, after 6 months if you do not go premium you will lose those free websites and their content, so in reality, the only thing you have to lose would be your time.

By not going premium it will take much more effort to find out how to do certain aspects of the business model on your own through the search engines. Because the training as a free member is limited to only the first level in either training modular.

One of the biggest advantages in going premium is that you open the flood gates (literally) to so much more training that will help you succeed. WA can show you the way, but it will still take your hard work and efforts to make it happen!

The choice is yours,
Calvin

Calvin, this is the first time I hear that the Starter membership is limited to 6 months... Where did you find such information?

Thank you,

~ Julia.

Hi Julia,

I am sorry but you read that wrong the free website(s) is/are limited to 6 months now (as of about 4 months ago).

The starter membership (as far as I know) is as long as they want to remain a free member (Might want to check with Kyle to see if they have not changed that also).

No, I understood perfectly what you were saying, but limiting free websites to 6 months is the same as limiting Starter membership to this period because there is nothing else to do if one can't work on his/her site. I'm sorry, but I question whether this information being correct. Could you please point out the source of it?

Thank you,

~ Julia

No limiting free websites is just that, limiting the use of the free website to 6 months. It does not, however, limit the free membership.

As far as I know, you can remain a free member for an unlimited amount of time. Now, if you can start another free website after the first expires (I Do Not Know) this is another issue that you might ask Kyle about also.

As I said this information was provided by Kyle.

He has mentioned this often in live chat, so if you doubt this as being true. Please, by all means, to assure your doubtfulness contact, Kyle, to confirm this to be true.

You might be correct if a free website stays inactive (no new posts) for 6 months. But if a person works on his/her site, it can't be true. Otherwise, it would be specified in the Membership Comparison chart, but it's not - I just checked.

As I stated, check with Kyle to confirm or deny.

Moving at a fast pace here. Completed watching the video for lesson three on niches. The question is this... What do you do if you have created a product that is general in its appeal? Specifically, this has always troubled me as an author. My latest book is designed to "Enlighten, enrich, and encourage people along the journey of life." However, every marketing guru says to "niche down." How do you find a niche target audience for a generalized book without going back to page one and re-writing the book? Do you forever try to market to niche audience after niche audience in the hope that you will find a group that responds?

Hi, Kenneth! I am delighted to meet you.

I go by my passion. As a rule, (at least for me) there will always be people who would be looking for similar passion like yours and mine. The bottom line is the content, its quality, relevance, and value. It should have proper references and useful data. And it must be engaging. What about you?

Cheers!

Hello Florentino. Good to meet you also, and I appreciate your feedback to my couple of questions so far. I will follow you, and look forward to both learning from you, and perhaps contributing value to your life in return. I am sure in the process we shall find ourselves engaging in some interesting discussions. May we then encourage people with our collective and individual insights, and our writings. Regards, Kenneth.

I would like to read your book and i’m interested that you are the author. My sister is a writing a book about my dad right now. I wish the audience whom interested in reading and writing will probably be your niche as they know that you are an author. Wish you all the best and become a successful businessman

Now who doesn't like watches! You can get them for yourself, for others as a gift, you can even get your whole crew rocking the same watch. You can get a sentimental watch or you can get a beautiful watch to brag about all day! Just don't brag too much lol. When I create my website, go ahead and check it out, use that affiliation money and prize yourself some ice.

Joined as a starter last night, completed lesson one just now. Maybe I am jumping the gun here with my questions, but I am thinking ahead. 1. I have several websites already, these were created in the past with Godaddy being used to purchase the URLs, and Wordpress itself being both the platform and host. As I progress in WA, is it possible to migrate these over to the WA hosting platform as a premium member? 2. Related to this, I have paid Wordpress in the past for sites to be free of their adverts. Can I assume that Wordpress sites on the WA hosting are similarly free of unwanted ads, and that this is all inclusive as part of WA premium membership? Thank you in advance for your answers. Best Regards, Kenneth

Advice on Healthcare Products Sought- Legal Aspects.
Greetings I hope you are having a great day.

One of the sites I am developing is healthcare related. The product is a niche food but it helps in the management of certain illnesses. I have plenty of experience in the subject and I´m obviously passionate about it. However, I thought it would be prudent to add a legal exemption saying I am not responsible etc., just in case ...

Can anybody point me to a form of wording in addition to the standard privacy page that I might add please?

Best Regards,

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

I think it's a good idea to look at successful websites in a similar niche as yours (benchmarking). Look what they do.

Personally, I wouldn't post your disclaimer as a page within your site. It would be too obvious and maybe not where you want the eyes of your potential customers directed. Maybe better would be to include the disclaimer as a short paragraph (couple of sentences) at the end of your blog post when you're talking about the health benefits of the product.

Better yet, look how the other websites use it.

Hope this helps.

Hi TJ, I have a health related website too, Vitamins and such. Just put a disclaimer on it like this

Statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. XXXXXXs products
are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

I would write some info at the end of the info e.g. from where you
took your info and that you cannot give any guaranty of the result to achieve as this mainly depents on the user, but that quite a
number of persons have had acceptle results.

Just getting started this is awesome fedback. Having trouble finding a niche.

Yes, you should definitely include a Disclaimer and I would recommend that it not be a page, only the Privacy Policy should be a page.

I have a Cancer Cure website and the theme I am using does not have a side bar on the Home Page and actual Content Pages. So for all of my Content Pages I have the disclaimer at the very bottom as you can see at the link below.

https://thefreecancercure.com/what-is-cancer

On my Blog Posts there is a side bar and this is where I have decided to include the same exact Disclaimer, instead at the bottom of every post. See an example of my Blog Post at the link below.

https://thefreecancercure.com/the-natural-cure-for-cancer

If you want you can copy my Disclaimer and use it as a base template for your Disclaimer, changing it where appropriate.
