NICHES. The scariest word for most people when starting out. However, the idea of a niche should not scare you. Instead it should be exciting.

What is a Niche?

A niche is a distinct segment of a market, in other words an "audience".

When choosing a niche that fits you, you should be choosing something that is ideally an interest, a passion, a hobby, but it could be something that you would like to learn about. You don't need to BE an expert, you BECOME an expert.

I personally enjoy many different things. I enjoy basketball, I used to collect baseball cards, I like to go skiing, I am really interested in men's fashion, exercise, internet marketing, and I love everything about the online business world.

There are also many niches over the years that I have been very successful within without knowing anything about them before getting into them. Dieting, voice over IP, hosting...are just a few.

Almost anything you can think of is a niche and that is why we are going to get you to choose YOUR niche based on things that you are interested in. You can earn money online from absolutely every single niche because there are billions of people out there searching for information, for solutions, and spending billions of dollars or products/services every day.

The idea of a niche can be a little confusing at first, so I have created a video walk-through for this lesson that is going to walk you through what a niche is, how you earn money through a niche, and I will get you choosing your initial direction online.

Check out the video below.

DISCUSS THIS VIDEO HERE: Choosing Your Direction - It Starts With a Niche!

Your online business should not feel like a day job. Earning money online should be fun, and it is fun. This all starts with choosing a niche that you are interested in and will enjoy working with.

The MORE you enjoy doing something the LESS it feels like a job and the more productive you are going to be. Carson and I are immensely passionate about online business and teaching people how to make money online, so that is the niche we have chosen with Wealthy Affiliate.

Your niche could be anything, but at the core of your niche selection it should be something that you "like". Something you enjoy. Something you can talk about. Something you want to learn about.

Task 1: Choose Your Direction

We want you to select the niche that interests you most and gets you the most excited.

A few things that you should understand about niches are:

(1) You are going to be writing content within your niche
(2) You are going to be communicating within your niche
(3) You are going to be choosing products to promote within your niche
(4) You are going to get to help people within your niche.
(5) Your first niche PROBABLY won't be your last (so don't worry about it being perfect)
(6) Any SINGLE niche website can become a "full time" income/business

There is NO SUCH THING as choosing the wrong niche.

Also, note that you can always change your niche down the road. Just because you are choosing a niche now does not mean you will be in this particular niche forever. Either way, please do not spend a week choosing your niche. Within the next 15-30 minutes (maximum) you should have your "starting point" niche chosen.

If you have any questions about your niche, feel free to leave a question below and we will help you out.

If you are REALLY STUCK at this point and you cannot decide on a niche, perhaps you may be interested in the make money/affiliate marketing niche. If you don't have a niche at this point, this will be your niche and we have an Affiliate Bootcamp dedicated to those that are interested in promoting Wealthy Affiliate.

==> Go here if that is you.

Onto the next lesson, building a website! Exciting stuff is ahead! :)

My passion is finance but I think that the 'make money online' niche is too broad and has too much competition. As a millenial that is pursuing financial independence/early retirement, I think this could be a great niche as I can highlight the steps I've been taking to reduce/eliminate debt and make income as an independent contractor/freelancer...and soon to be affiliate marketer.

My question is...what are the recommendations for research to validate that a keyword/niche is solid/worth pursuing? How do I factor in competition and determine the popularity of said niche?

I did use the keyword tool for 'eliminate college debt' and it only gets 48 searches per month. On the other hand the exact phrase 'financial independence retire early' (FIRE) gets 2700 searches per month, a QSR of 181 and SEO score of 83 out of 100. Seems like there's much more demand and likelihood of success here. Would those of you who have successfully built a niche site agree?

And in general, what number ranges for each category in the keyword tool do you look for when you're choosing a niche?

Hi Jordan...

Your question is pretty similar to what I had in mind at this Stage... Meaning I am assuming that you have not completed Level 1 Training yet...

I suggest that you complete the Level 1 Training and from my own experience... A lot of Questions would be answered already as in my own experience.

There are tools and techniques that will be explained to you in Level 1 Training alone... The faster you go through it... Chances are the initial 7-day premium membership upgrade offer would still be open... Just in time for you to proceed to Level 2...

I'll see you at Level 2 and beyond... 😀

Make sure you are following the training program. It's all outlined step-by-step in there. But the short answer is you are looking for a QSR under 100. Each point you creep above that gets harder and harder to tag those keywords due to the competition.

Having said that, however, I would be lying if I said that I haven't tackled them if the AVG is extremely high as you show here. I'll write an article for a QSR of 120-140 with an AVG in the thousands; just know that it will likely take longer to break into that segment, so don't put all your eggs in that basket. Balance things out with a lot of easier targets so you can generate some quick wins.

Honestly, I look at the QSR before anything. While WA recommends a certain AVG target, I figure even if there are only 10-20 people a month looking for that particular word or phrase, but there is virtually no competition, that's 10-20 potential "fans" I didn't have when I started. Heck, in the beginning, I'd be happy with 4 or 5.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback AJ. I get that I haven't reached the research part of the training yet...but I don't understand why we're supposed to choose a niche without first doing research to see if it's a potentially successful one.

I do understand what you're saying here (and what you've mentioned on a previous post of mine)...essentially that you like going after low-hanging fruit.

The QSR being under 100 and as high of an AVG as possible for the smaller niches is definitely helpful. That should give me enough info as I choose my first niche.

Thanks again,
Jordan

Hello Sir...

I totally agree... Need to go through the Training first and understand what everything means individually and how they add up to each other.

For me... The lowest possible QSR with some AVG and we have a case... If the QSR is below 10... We are already almost on the 1st Page if I am not wrong...

But then again... If the QSR is above 100 but the AVG is huge... That's another option as well...

But it all boils down to accurate, honest and sincere content... That's what set you apart from the Next Affiliate Marketeer...

Hope this helps too.

All the Best and see you at the Top... 🚀

Niche Selection is slightly different... It is supposed to be something you are comfortable in... Not necessarily a content expert. This is to help ensure that you are able to develop high quality content over and over again... As it is something you are comfortable in...

Then you research the Keywords that are relevant to your Nicyhe and draw Traffic... Your Website Structure and Content would deal with the Conversion into Sales...

I hope this helps...

It helps if you look at a niche as being seperate from the research, at least mentally. Naturally the two are closely related, but there is a difference.

For me, I personally don't care what the keyword research numbers are, at least not initially. Here's what I mean...

Let's say I find a group of keywords that are super high in searches and have super low competition. But those keywords are all related to the topic (i.e. niche) of underwater basketweaving. And I'm afraid of water. And I hate baskets. As far as I'm concerned, it's goodbye, the end.

No matter how great the numbers are, if it's in a niche that I have no interest or passion in, then a) I'm not going to be motivated to create content for it, and b) even if I was successful, all I've done is create another job... and who wants that?

Forget the numbers for now. Choose your niche based on your passion. Choose something that you would talk to anyone who would listen about for the rest of your life, even if you never got paid a dime for it.

To paraphrase Confucius: "Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life."

Good luck :-)

Question about niches
I was able to make a site about breastfeeding moms and I wish to join a community of mom bloggers here who maybe share the same interest?

And if you are in a community, Is it ideal say for example to invite guests to write contents on your site and vice versa?

I find it quite challenging to think of really good contents so I started on a somewhat a 'curated content' is that even acceptable?

I started with "Instagram Breastfeeding stories to Follow", added a bit of my insight and then featured some moms on IG with really good and inspiring posts about the topic (I of course messaged and asked them if I could feature them on the site)
Reply
newmarketpro Premium
You may want to create a question on building a breastfeeding moms group. I believe there are members who go that direction but I don't have the figure how many of them.

Guest blogging/vlogging is great way to get content to your site. If you have community on IG, you might want to reach some of influencers there and asked if they want to write for you vice versa.

From experience curated content need to be approached correctly otherwise it would do more harm than good to site.

My goals are to keep on with training and I keep thinking about getting back home from work to work on this course and getting my website up and running so I can make some money to help some of my friends out and I would really out of this world happy to see a check for $4,000.00 come my way.

Does anyone know if you remain a free member with one or two sites will you make enough money on just that or do you have to upgrade to make real money. I’m just afraid if I upgrade I will not make enough money to cover $49.00 dollars a month. How could I possibly know that answer in 6 days? Has anybody out there made descent money on the two free sites?
Reply
merlynmac Premium
You can make money staying as a free member. There are advantages to going premium but it’s not required. That said, if you go premium consider going annual, it’s the equivalent of $29 a month vs $49, the catch, you have to pay it all at once so $359/yr.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
I agree with @merlynmac. It's not a requirement, but it's worth it. Not only will you get the most up to date training, but you also can create up to 50 websites for that one fee. I was using another host company and was paying between $10-$15 per month for each, so once you begin to grow you'll see what a real bargain WA is.

Also keep in mind that if you go premium in your first seven days, it's only $19 for your first month, so that will give you more time to discover if this is for you--and since you already took the first step, I'm betting it is :-)

Hope this helps.

When you say you can make money, can in your opinion, be a stay at home business type money or a little side cash?
Reply
Thanks for your help, I have a month to see for 19 dollars.
Reply
merlynmac Premium
You can build it to a stay at home income and beyond. In the end you want to become a trusted authority in your niches. You can do that without going premium although I’d say you’d get there quicker as a premium member with the ability to register your own domains, build more than 2 sites and access to additional training.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Any and all of the above. The sky is the limit; it really just depends on what your goals are.

If you're looking for a little side cash, and only have a few minutes a week to work on it, you can do that. If you are looking for more of a stay-at-home income, you can do that. Or, you can work hard and build an entire company with a real office and staff.

For an excellent example of what you can accomplish in a relatively short time, check out WA member, JerryHuang. He's an inspiration to us all. :-)

Hi Linda

The choice to go premium is totally yours to make.

But do not rush it. If you are not ready to move forward with premium.

There is no timeline But if you want to take your business to the next level them a Premium membership is the way to go.

It will take time building your site to the stage where you start building income. About 3 to six months in the general rule of thumb.

As you go through the step by step training you will soon realise that there are so many options to making money online.

In my opinion it is better that you stay here at Wealthy Affiliate so that you can grow and become successful and this can be done with the Free websites.

I hope this helps

Hello Charlene and welcome to Wealthy Affiliate.
I believe that you can do this.

You can type in your niche and then add "affiliate" when you perform the search.

This will bring up affiliates that you can join in order to monetize your site.

You will also make money for your services, correct?

You will want to wait about signing up with affiliates though until your site is matured enough.

But yes, it can be done.
Wishing you the best in all you do

Hi,

I thought I would provide another comment to all those recently signed up here and hoping to get something for nothing..

My first question is, how serious are you really about wanting to learn and be successful?

There seems to be far too many people coming here thinking this is a free opportunity to becoming successful?

I have no doubt that if you work your butt off without spending the money and taking advantage of all the resources on here that you can earn some money.

Will you be as successful as you'd like to be? That I highly doubt it!

The truth is, the investment required here to become successful is truly "peanuts" compared to other business opportunities.

An example we use in my other home based business:

McDonald's - which many of us know is a very successful business, do you know how much it costs to own a franchise?

If you're serious about this opportunity then I suggest you do your research, in no time I believe you'll be investing and be extremely glad you did.

Greg.

Hi Greg. Could not agree more with your sentiments. I have only just started the training and can not comment much on WA.

I can however comment on life as I have been around for a while.

Starting any business is expensive and risky as many start ups have a low percentage of success. When you are on your own it is scary and lonely where the world could not care less if you are successful or not.

I have been with WA for only a week but I can see that they are taking me down a road that is well travelled and an organisation that wants you to be successful.

My investment is time and a relatively small financial investment.

If I throw myself into the programme I should have a good idea in six months how well my association with WA has been.

At worst I will have learnt a lot through the professional training and will not have a huge financial debt from a failed venture. At best I will be developing a successful business

All the best.

Regards Bruce.

Bruce , you are absolutely fair and not being judgemental to WA..WA was established long time ago with a number of technocrat investors those were positive and with the far sighted vision. Now the community using internet already achieved the figure that never being imagined compared to WA initiation and hatching time but over time, their commitment and dedication to help others to succeed WA now developed into a big organization with the right vision and attitude, caring society and ready to make money through affiliation and traffic in the websites....only to be shared by many others, not only the pioneers ..

To those questioning what kind of opportunity does WA present?

Anything in life is possible if you put your mind to it! Having said that, is it possible to have success with WA without investing any money.

Of course, but you're really going to limit your resources and stack the odds against you.

1) Once your 7 days are up you are unable to post questions or reach out for assistance. And considering you have access to so many knowledgeable people in this community, why wouldn't you want to take advantage of it?

2) I know when I got involved I couldn't go beyond the first set of lessons without paying.

3) I strongly believe between the lessons and support there is no reason why anyone would be unable to create a successful online business here.

4) There are many other options online to creating online business but nothing that is put together as well as WA. Both Kyle and Carson have done an amazing job putting together an amazing opportunity.

5) Can you find any resource online that is offering you a legit FREE opportunity at making an unlimited amount of money.

If money is an issue you could pay for one month and fast forward through the training with the hope you are able to pick up everything you need in one month to become successful

I still think you're far better off putting the money out and taking advantage of all the resources being offer.

If you came here looking for a free option so make a lot of money, then maybe this isn't the option for you.

I think it depends on the niche to be honest.

on My Niche Websites I have woo-commerce on some but not others as I don't think a store would compliment it.

I have a woo-commerce for my Minecraft website as its designed to review Minecraft merchandise.

I have a pet website and I will not be adding a woo commerce on that site as it is about pet health so I want to do detailed reviews.

Also take into account when you choose a theme, not all are compatible with Woo-commerce stores

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate - the right place to start your online business. It's still possible to earn income at your account level but I have to be frank with you, it's very hard. I am trying to discourage you but I have to be honest and transparent here. :)
The reason I was saying that is that with starter account you don't have access to the core training, the tools and weekly training and so on. If you really want it a success you need all the training, the tools and the support from the community.

Any reason why we need to go so granular for our niche? As in, rather than baby products, we have to go straight to baby strollers? Wouldn't it be better to have a site revolving around baby products in general so then there's more ground that can be covered on the website...and then have subpages like diapers, strollers, cribs, etc?
Reply
HeitstyTom Premium
If that's what you want to do, the it's something you certainly can. But the narrower your niche, the more likely you'll stand out. I do know, though, that some niche's just aren't going to go down that narrow.
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Be assured there is a method to the madness. The longer your keyword the less competition there is and, thus, your site will get traffic faster. Moreover, that traffic will be highly targeted and looking for exactly what you are offering because you narrowed in so tightly.

Think of it this way... the big retail sites aren't going to bother going for a "long-tail" keyword phrase when there are only 100 (or less) people searching those terms every month; as a former corporate executive I can tell you it's just not the best use of their limited resources. But start-ups like you and I will gladly take 50, 20, or even 10 people a month. 1% of something is better than 100% of nothing, right?

On the flip side, if you start out too big with a more generic term, you're going to be facing the large, more established companies head on. That's going to get very expensive fast and take a long time to make even the smallest dent in their customer base. Like before, but reversed, it's just not the best use of YOUR limited resources.

Trust the process. Kyle and the gang have been doing this a long time and Wealthy Affiliates has a proven track record of success stories. They know what they're doing.

Start small so one day you can grow big. :-)

Makes sense AJ. I'm not trying to compete with the bigger companies tho...I'm aiming to partner with them as an affiliate. I get what you're saying traffic/SEO-wise, but I definitely don't want to go too narrow. 10-50 people a month isn't really gonna cut it for me, especially if the affiliate commissions are small (ie Amazon associates program).
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Ah, but you don't just stop with one keyword. You create an ever-growing series of content within your niche targeting as many of the 10-50 groups as you can.

Right now, you have about as much chance hitting a group in the thousands as you do winning the Powerball. Can it happen? Sure. But the odds are still stacked against you.

But if you have 20, 50, 100, or 200 articles all targeting a different group, those baby 10s start adding up rather quickly. You can make a ton of money with an aggregate of micro-niches.

I agree with Susan (@Marley2016). At least here in Tennessee, there has been a big resurgence of cast iron in recent years. It turned out that the Teflon non-stick wasn't as great (or as safe) as they led us to believe and people are turning back to what grandma used when we were all kids.

I can remember hitting some of the local thrift shops, flea markets, and antique stores a couple of years ago and they were practically giving the cast iron pots and pans away; now you can't find it anywhere. Sounds like a winning niche to me. :-)

No. Your local store will just wonder where all the free traffic is coming from. You would have to set up a unique affiliate link with that store, once they agree to take you on as an affiliate (if they even do that, but really you will be shown how to find such companies who are looking for people like you.

You can set up a website showing people all about computers and how to fix them.

I could even give you at least one day idea for a post surrounding laptop chargers, mine stopped working a while back and had to pay to get it fixed.

So, don't direct to sites where you are not officially an affiliate of theirs i.e. someone that gets commissions for making referrals that convert to sales.
Chat me back Gary to talk more on this if you like.

Quick question regarding my particular niche. I want to do something with travelling, so 'ear plugs' was an idea I was thinking about going through with. The main reason for my concern is when I have to choose a domain name. Any thoughts would be appreciated. ;)

Both of the niches would need to be narrowed down a bit.

Something that Kyle suggest is to ask yourself

This might help you to narrow your niche down.
As for domain names. I am not so good with that.

if you choose a website based on something you enjoy or something you know a lot about that is helpful or fun that you would like to share with others then think of all the fun and useful information you can put on that site, then follow the training and lessons provided and ask for help when you need it.

Hopefully you will do well, wish you all the best.

So I have an eBay store that I would like to direct traffic to from the website..does my website need to show products or can it be something else to direct people to? This is where I get confused and then when I try to pick a theme for a site, there are all these formats that I don't know if I am supposed to add or not add. When I choose a theme, it will tell me to add extra plug-ins for that theme? Very confusing..i just want a simple site to do this, and I end up getting really frustrated.

When I came to WA Carol, I was very stressed from past failures and lack. I could hardly concentrate so I missed alot of what was being said on the training. I went back and took it again in small steps at a time. It all started falling into place.

Distractions can be pretty mean and rob you of important details. Take a deep breath and go over it again. You will get it.

It did mention the robots beta boxes on the video. I am so embarrassed. It should still let you know to go to the Site Manager, select Pages, then select All Pages and then select your Privacy Policy Page and scroll down to Alll In One SEO Pack after it have been added instead of just saying it is found in the WordPress Admin Area to keep from having to go back to the video. It would help dummies like me.

When i tried to post the privacy policy page, it was all messed up, so i deleted it and retried. Then once i finally posted it, it doesn't show up on my website. Then i will look up my website name and privacy policy and the privacy policy does come up. I dont know what to do.

I have a question about my Site Content for my website. I opened Site Content and I saw a draft called “Surveys.” I am assuming that somebody else put “Surveys“ in my site content already. This is interesting since I posted on my first day about asking people questions and doing surveys. I think somebody read that comment and must’ve put that on my Site Content that says Draft “Surveys”. If that is true, could somebody please let me know if they did that because of my comment about surveys? I would like to thank them personally for doing that.

I may be over thinking, but I thought I had my niche (TOOLS &/OR TOYS). I have a son that's always working on his Jeep and I have grandkids where I'm always buying tool's. In researching it further, the topics seem too broad. I can go with either one. Any thoughts as to how to break either one of them down or is one better than the other?

Tools for What? Toys for Who? You can definitely narrow these larger categories down to something a little more specific.

When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:

I want to help people that ______________.

Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Hi Don,
These two niches are too dense and you need to narrow them down. By example you can select a niche for Play Vehicules/trucks. (that seems more accurate in your case. You can also get more tips by going online and do a random search or visiting Amazon. Here's an example woth toys in mind. They got different categories as you can see on this screen capture.
I hope this helps. Regards, Al

I created a website which talks about "computer parts and functions". That's not the URL but I made this as the identity.

However, as I add a post I added this site identity which reads as follows:
Motherboard-Computer Parts and Functions
Processor-Computer Parts and Functions

I want to do the affiliate for Amazon and need to know all about pursuing this. Do you use the same method to connect to other places for affiliate also? Hi Ruth. You are correct. Kyle explain further how to promote Amazon (with the Affiliate program) but if you want to take a look at a great video from magicstudios, here's the link: You will need to create your Amazon account first and then sign up for Amazon Affiliate. Once you know your niche category and narrow it down, you can start promoting and of course create reviews. That way you will have great content as a base and then you can promote the products with Amazon link (use Amazon Stripes) or other types of plugin in WordPress. Have a good one. Al

You may follow Alvaro's suggestion on how to set up your Amazon affiliate site.

First thing first, I would suggest to take a step back and plan what you want to accomplish with your affiliate site. That being said, I believe you want to fill up great content on your site before even applying any affiliate program. More so with Amazon that you need to have 3 sales within 180 days from the time your signed up.

This should help you a bit to understand Amazon affiliate program.
>> You can promote any affiliate products on your site as long it is relevant to your chosen niche. For digital product, try Clickbank, JVzoo.

You may want to decide whether you are going to promote physical or digital products.

Hope that helps.

In the Lesson 3 you will learn how to choose a niche and why you only need to choose one niche per one site. Keep on with training. It is always when you just started that you want to venture into so wide and so many things at once but it's really getting to a focused niche that will bring better results.

Imagine you need a doctor for a pain you have at your back. Do you go to general medical practitioner or do you prefer to go to a specialist doctor in dealing with back pain / chiropractor?.

So if I’m correct, you create the website that is in the same category as what you want to advertise later on, but not directly about what you want to advertise? For example, if I wanted to advertise senior mobility items I would make a website about senior health and that would leave room for those products, rather than me making the website actually about senior mobility devices, correct? (FYI I know it should be something you’re actually interested in and/or passionate about, I’m just thinking I specifically went about creating my website name and domain name incorrectly).
Reply
FKelso Premium
If all your products will only be about senior mobility, then senior mobility can be your niche. If you are going to include other items, then you will probably want to make it in the senior health area.

Awesome, I would just be careful about being too broad with your niche.

I would recommend that you narrow it down a bit, what aspect of "health", "wealth" or "eros" do you want to help people out with? There are many directions that you can head.

I do have a question concerning niches.

Right now, I do have 2 passions (niches) that is somewhat linked to each other.

The first one is collectible trading cards like Magic the Gathering, Yugioh, and Pokemon. I have been around these cards for almost my entire life since I was a teenager and still am to this day. I know the market for these cards is huge but it can also be hot and cold at times but I do have a great deal of knowledge on this subject.

The second one is video games, especially Nintendo games. I own a 2DS, a 3DS, and a Nintendo Switch. I rarely play the PS4 or the XBox since I am always constantly moving but I do have some basic knowledge on them. The reason why I said they are linked is because I do play the Pokemon main games quite a lot which is why I have such interest in the Pokemon TCG. You can tell that Pokemon has been a huge part of my life.

For my first website, which niche would be easier to set up and promote for sales?
Reply
merlynmac Premium
That's a tough one. Both niches have a market. Which one do you think you have more knowledge/passion for? In the end you want to become an authority in your niche so whichever is easier for you at first, I say do that one. Then, after you have the do's and don'ts figured out, create a second site for the other niche.
Reply
chender684 Premium
Based on what you said, you sound more passionate and knowledgeable on the cards.
Reply
Mysticalfire Premium
As of right now, I would say the TCG market. I do have a great deal of knowledge across all 3 major games as a collector and, while I barely played due to lack of funds, I do keep up with the state of the game by constantly reading articles so I am not completely out of the loop.

The only reason why I am a little bit concerned is because of the highs and lows of the market. Sometimes, the market is amazing but there has been times when sales is just not happening due to the parent company making a bad decision. Whereas the gaming market is typically more stable.

Eventually, I do want to get into both markets since I am passionate about both. It is just that, right now, I have more knowledge in the TCG area. That area is what got me the Power Seller stamp on eBay right now.
Reply
merlynmac Premium
Man that's tough...stability is nice but I still lean toward the TCG path...In the end it's up to you and you'll have to weigh the uncertainty against the stability factors.
Reply
Mysticalfire Premium
I may be overthinking this like I normally do. Thanks for your help.
Reply
Mysticalfire Premium
Well, I do have to admit that I may be overthinking this. I have considered this issue in the past and went on into the collecting aspect of it because that area tend to be more stable than the competitive aspect of the games, in which the card values goes up or down on demand.

This helped me keep card values that I have picked up relatively stable without a lot of price changes.

So it is best to stick to that and work my way up from there.

Thanks for your help.

Niches. I have someone who wants me to promote his First Aid kits - aimed primarily at older people who want a comprehensive kit on their yachts. Living in the Virgin Islands I am in the "Sailing Capital of the world" for privately owned and also charter yachts. I think the "audience" could at least, off the top of my head, be also aimed at RV'ers, campers, hikers etc. Where to start? Should I be asking him if I can affiliate with him perhaps?
Reply
HeitstyTom Premium
I would ask him if you could affiliate with him, but that is so narrow a niche. I think if that was just one of your pages. I think you have a better niche in portable first-aid kits, from something that will go on a yacht to something that will fit in a diaper bag.

"The default Wordpress menus work in very strange ways and can be quite awkward. Typically when you add a page, it automatically goes to the main menu. A post, will go to the homepage blog roll (not the main menu)."

As a blogging tool, what other way of things working would you find more sensible?
Reply
merlynmac Premium
Pages are made for static, commonly accessed content like your privacy page and about me. As such they end up on your menu automatically as WP assumes it's something you want people to reach from anywhere on your site.

Posts are what I call "articles of the moment" and tend to be fluid. WP doesn't put them in the menu for various reason including not knowing if the post is something that you want to be reachable from anywhere on your site and because, if you post a lot, the menu would get out of control.

You can manually add and remove posts and pages as you see fit from your menu and even create nested sub-menus.

Reply
Nope he didn't, he didn't answer how should WP create its menus so it won't be "strange".
Reply
merlynmac Premium
All post should be shown in your blog roll but not in menus. Your menus would be out of control if you had 100+ entries in them, 1 for each post.

The menus should be used to allow your visitors to navigate them with ease. I have mine setup as follows:

Home - A home button to take them back to my main page

Posts - A link to my post roll page (the page that just lists all my posts in the order of newest to oldest). This would normally be on your main page but I use a static home page.

Categories - This contains sub-entries for the various categories I assign my posts (Accessories, General, Make Money, Post-production, Troubleshooting, etc.). If my visitors click on one of these they'll be presented with posts that only match the category selected.

About - This one contains sub-entries for my about page, affiliate disclosure, privacy policy, GDPR data access request and cookie consent.

Submit a Guest Post - This will take them to a post about how they can submit a guest article for my site.

You can organize your menus as you see fit. If you have items being added on their own that aren't pages then you'll need to see what might be causing that behavior. If you go to Appearance>Menus and scroll down you should see an option that says Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu. You can turn that on or off as you desire.

So what's that "strange" with the way WP populates menus?

If you have taken your time to come here and learn, then I would also take the time to learn the ins and outs. The training is excellent and will give you an opportunity to create something of your own.

You may also want to change something or add something on the side to what you already have . . . you just will not know until you try and explore as well as having any creativity that you never knew it existed until now?

It is exceptionally rewarding when you have completed the training and making money is the icing on the cake.

I'm very worried about having an "about me" post in fact I would be happier if I didn't need to do one for personal reasons
My first niche is a product which I am interested in buying myself
Is there an alternate post I could make which would get me noticed?

Len,
Instead of doing an About Me post why not do an About Me
page - this does not have to include any personal information
but instead why you feel this product you are promoting is
the best your experience with it and why it will help people.
Pages do not receive comments from people and you have
a way of gaining trust with them.

Try taking a look at this about me post and you can then
get an idea of what I mean.

Hi everyone, I have a question about the 3rd rule of a quality keyword which says it should make sense grammatically.
AS A USER, if I want to know 'how to improve my basketball skills', I search 'how improve basketball skills' (which doesn't make sense grammatically) to have wider options. because if I search the first phrase I would miss 'how you can improve your basketball skills' which could give me the same result. and lots of people search in this way.
AS A WEBSITE OWNER if i target the people using the second phrase don't I have better chance?
Reply
Robert-A Premium
The consensus of opinion is Not To Use Stopwords such as

to, the, and, not, me, my etc etc

The search engines will put in those stop words as a the complete search term.
Reply
StefanC Premium
No, google 's algorithm is smart enough so it doesn't make difference. In fact it can be even worse to target the second keyword as your grammar will be wrong and therefore, not good for trust and SEO.

Lesson 6 was extremely beneficial and answers a lot of queries - especial for the novice - like me. I also learned how to access my web page at the end of the video - very useful!
Lesson 5 does not explain how to access the front page of your website when you are working in Wordpress back office - I could not see the changes I was making in the background.

Hi Jamie,
I think there are a lot of technical parts of Wordpress are not going to be covered in the training as most of the training teach about the concept of online business and not so much on the technical part.. But there are a lot of references created by WA members related to Wordpress are already available here. Use the search column above and type "wordpress" and you should see some of the training or posts related to wordpress.

Am I doing something wrong as I followed exactly what the video and directives said?

Just wanted to see if this was a good niche idea.

As a new father and constantly learning and searching for new baby related stuff. I wanted to do the baby category as an umbrella for the website and then start with either of the following niches:

- Infant/toddler car seats,
- Baby monitors
- Baby Clothing

Let me know what you think of my ideas.
Reply
CatJohnston Premium
Those are all good niches. Equally good, so it's really up to you which one to start with.

However, you'll be at this a long while. Beyond the time your child is a baby - aka after your personal life has moved on to other needs.

This is why they recommend you choose a niche you are passionate about. Find something you will not get sick & tired of discussing.

If that IS baby products, GREAT! But if you're choosing it simply because it's currently in your life, and/or you noticed people are making money in that market, then you will burn out.

I only bring it up, as I thought it would be a good idea to run a bridal shop, while I was planning my wedding. Then a baby shop while I had babies. But once my life progressed, so did my interests. I'm very glad I didn't spend the time, energy and money on fleeting fancies. My excitement was coming from my own emotional reactions to the big events in my own life. Not from the desire to actually do that topic as a career.

Just some thoughts to consider...
Reply
I was thinking of doing something that involved children as well, l’m a new mother. What do you think about self help books for parents? Or is that to vague?
Reply
CatJohnston Premium
Well, again, check in with WHY you want to do that topic - first. After a couple of years I got really tired of all my conversations being about kids and potties and naptime and the various kids shows. I really wanted to have adult conversations. But that was me - what do you LOVE to talk about?

If you are passionate about helping new families, then I could easily see a blog that records your struggles and the resources you used to solve them. You could have affiliate links to products, books, and courses. Not to mention Google Ads. After a bit you'd have enough to start making your own books and courses. It's totally do-able.

QUESTION???

I know in the Lesson 6 training video is says to select "Do Not Allow" For the EWWW Image Optimizer to track your plugins...buuuut it offers you "500 free image credits in your admin email"

For anyone who knows what I'm talking about; does it matter if instead I select "Allow"? And if I do and receive the 500 image credits, are the credits useful, or will they come in handy later/Is it worth it to Allow EWWW to track all my plugins????

ANYONE WHO HAS SOME ANSWERS PLEASE HELP! THANKS GUYS!!!

Hello all! So I was wondering if I might be able to get some niche advice. I am very into health and fitness and after an Amazon search, think a great focus would be on protein supplements, breaking down into powders, bars, snacks, etc. The questions I have are as follows:

1. Does this seem a viable option?

2. Is it too broad or not broad enough since it doesn't include say, vitamins or pre-workout supplements?

3. Should I get more specific and instead of looking at all sources of protein, focus on say vegan/organic sources?

Thanks so much for help and by all means, I would love to hear suggestions!

This is like when I was doing a column, working at a newspaper, I had to decide what to write on and usually that involves something that was currently happening in my life or possibly in the world. I've got a few things going on now which all would apply to being a proper subject for a niche. Since this is my first effort, hopefully I'm right about this.

Hi I'm Kim and I need some advice on a niche idea.

I love myths and legends. I could write about them forever, and my dream job would be doing just that. However, I don't know how I would make it profitable.

It doesn't seem to be a niche that answers a question or a need, so I'm not sure people searching those keywords would be buyers.

I worry that my motivation will drop over time without passion. I also want the freedom to quit my job, be my own boss and do what I love, so profit also matters.

I'm stuck. I would appreciate your advice.
Reply

Well I think you are right and I think you would lose your passion if people were not drawn to your website and if people are not drawn to your website there would be no profit and so the circle would go. I would choose to either go into drop shipping and earning through that platform and then indulge yourself with your myths and legends site.

First of all, take comfort in knowing people are searching for those very keywords. Just a quick trip over to Jaaxy and I was able to find all kinds of keywords that meet the criteria Kyle recommends within a matter of a couple of minutes.

As only one example, the keyword phrase "mermaid myths and legends" has a solid monthly search average of 120, and there is minimal competition, 51, for the term. If you don't know what those numbers mean yet just hang in there until you get to the lesson (by the way, they're really good!)

What is it about myths and legends that you find so fascinating?
And I don't mean this as a trite question; seriously think about what you are so passionate about.

In a sense, I am passionate about such things as well, and am in the process of writing my first fantasy novel. I have a degree is creative writing, and once I finish, I intend on launching a site that offers writing tips for aspiring fantasy authors. Perhaps you could go this route as well. Writers are always looking for good advice.

If teaching writing isn't your thing, there is always the old affiliate standby: Amazon. I'm sure you could find all kinds of books, movies, toys, and other products that your readers might be interested in. You could do book reviews, movie reviews, etc. The sky's the limit if you use a little imagination.

Hope this helps.

I too think this could be a great niche if done right. just think about if you were one of the first to have written about the harry potter books or other myths and legends movies or books.
Any niche needs time to develop but the niche you like is something millions of people are interested in.

For products, I also see no problems, apart from books you can add some home decor things, fan articles, even furniture or gothic clothes or whatever is somehow related to your niche.

Kimberley, I do a Science Fiction and Fantasy site. Within the fantasy side I do legends, myths, fairy tales etc. So you have books (both paper and eBooks), eReaders. Loads of costumes, films, games and I am sure you could find others.

Look how many little girls run around in fairy costumes. Boys would probably run around as Thor or Superman. Boy I hate stereotyping! I would be running around as Robin Hood and certainly not as Maid Marion.

hi Kim,

where i come from (PNG) our customs and traditions are deeply rooted in traditional myths and legends so I think it's a very interesting niche to concentrate on.

you could try looking for makers of artifacts and paintings that can portray your stories or you could even make it yourself (art?)

you could direct people to various destinations where the myths are said to have taken place.

Just thinking out loud here. Some possible ideas for you to take on board.

Lastly, with diminishing passion it requires a spark to reignite it. all i can say is keep asking and searching. I usually watch youtube videos and google leaders in fields i'm interested in.

Hope this helps :)

You might want to narrow it down a little. Pet safety is pretty broad.

I think you will do great in it though. You are a cat owner who looks out for their safety, so you already have some knowledge on it.

Let me know when you get your site up. I am an animal lover myself and have an older cat who has started having a sensitive stomach. We don't even give him tap water anymore. He gets purified water .

Ok, I found VW pet. It allows you to change the header image. You can use your own picture and adjust the size before you upload the image to the theme header.

If you type in pet in the theme search bar, I didn't see any cats, so I just chose one.

You can check the other pet themes to see if they allow you to add your own header image.

I love the topic of sexuality, particularly female sexuality. I was raised in a culture that shames this. I was thinking about creating a website targeting women looking for advice on toys, sex tips, etc, and an online community to reduce the stigma and shame around female sexuality. I follow a podcast called “bad girls bible”. I love the content, but the host is male and a lot of times it’s focused on pleasing “your man” or “driving him wild”. I’d like to focus more on feeling sexually empowered and tips, advice, (and products) for female pleasure. Is this too broad?

not too broad at all.. it is a HUGE niche. go for it.

if you see that there is a 'hole' in the niche, then it is time for you to step in and make your mark.

sooner or later, you can do your own podcast. become an authority in your niche. then when your blog gets big enough, you have an entire business helping people in those 'shame' areas, lol. or at least broaching the subject so it can be spoken more freely.

I say go for it. You can end up bigger than that guy because you will have a totally different and legitimate perspective.

I'm doing this because I've always wanted my own business and physically can no longer work in the concrete industry due to a bad knee. Besides, I'm sick of working for other people and getting treated like a liability instead of an asset with 28 years of experience. My short term goal is 5 websites making $300 each per week. Long term goal is multiple sites making me $1000 per day. Once I hit that goal I would be able to be debt free in 1 - 2 years, everything paid off. Then I can spend more time with my wife and do some traveling, etc., that we haven't been able to do. I will also help my 3 kids out and help them set up an income stream. Philanthropy will be in my future to help others too. Seems very realistic to me. Anyone have any comments or advice I can use to speed this process up?

Unfortunately, if we said Make Money Online Quick then my advice would be to RUN.
The reality is that it is hard work and you need to put in lots of time learning, training and actually putting what you learn into practice. There is so much here and as a premium member you can access the live events (and see past ones) as well as all member trainings. So much more than just the Certification course.

The biggest tip I advise is to learn and then take action.
I have websites made here that simply tell people who I am - and when people see me offline and go to the website - they then ring me and make a purchase. (I sell face to face, rather than in a shop).

Affiliate marketing is about driving traffic and the lessons here can double up across all areas of marketing online and offline.

So to speed up the process, spend as much time learning as you can and take action. When you have a website up and running, you need to drive traffic to it and you need to continue to build and grow. It is not a matter of set and forget.

cheers

Hi Kyle
The niche I have has chosen me ... I started writing an ebook about relationships for my granddaughter after I heard her crying and talking to her boyfriend in the room next door.
The book is done but still sitting when more issues came to light ... managing her money housekeeping cooking ect ... so the idea of letters came along. When I get to know WA it seems to me like the perfect vehicle for all of this.
There is almost nothing like this on Internet only professional and formal card core advice, not information with love and care.
The niche is wide open and will house many problems from just as many topics but the main denominator will be the informal guidance. There is a need out there from listening to every young one who comes to hear about it.
How will I monities it?
By running on water I bought a domain to hasty with dashes in the name and rectify it by buying a domain without the dashes... that lands me with two domains almost the same.
Is it possible to use the one with the dashes as a site where grannies can post their advice to young ones almost like a fan club but instead an information hub for the young and inexperienced?

guidancewithgranny.com

guidance-with-granny.com

Your advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for coming up with such a great niche.

I am glad that the niche found you. I am sure you will do great things as it seems you are very passionate about it.

As for monetizing, when you are creating a post and let's say there is a book that might go with your post that you might recommend, you could add a link to that book and get paid a commission if someone purchases it from your site.

You can search for affiliates in your niche. You can also get some ideas as to what products they have and incorporate them into your post.

I wouldn't apply for affiliates yet though. Your website needs to have a decent amount of content and traffic.

I wish you great success : )

If you type your niche into your search bar and include "affiliate" it should bring up affiliates for your niche.

You really don't want to apply for affiliates unless your site is ready for it. You need a good amount of content and traffic.

The reason being is because affiliates have expectations and they want you to sell a product within a certain amount of time.

I have a question about testing using Site Rubix.
What risk does one run that the domain name you select (say myawesomesite.siterubix.com) is taken during the time you are testing the niche?
In other words MyAwesomeSite.com is available now but before buying it I want to test the niche by using Site Rubix.
Having tested it and deciding its a goer I then go to purchase the .com only to find it has gone.
I see this as a potential risk, what with site comments and feedback here at WA and the odd member who might consider this a short cut to:
1. Finding a niche and
2. A domain name to go with it.

Just asking ...

I think everyone is missing my point here - I get that you MUST buy the domain to avoid this situation.
Maybe instead of asking a question I should have made the following statement to newbies (particularly free members) who were at the very early stage of the training where Kyle says choose your niche and build your site - I happen to know (having done the training before) that soon after this stage or the training he suggests you ask for feedback and comments. So maybe I should have said:

"Beware that using a free domain opens you up to the possibility of not securing this domain as a .com (or other) if you don't keep it to yourself. To keep it to yourself DO NOT ask for comments or feedback, DO NOT tell anyone what your niche is - at least not until you have secured the domain."

I know it is only $15.00 but WA prides itself on being an open, honest platform with no heavy up sales. On that basis I do think free members doing the first bit of training should have this pointed out to them.

In the early stages of the training it is a bit of a "hurry along' situation and before you know it you are asked/encouraged to build you first site - possibly a bit overwhelming for someone who has no inkling of the business.

Yes I am "overthinking" it ...
Yes it is only $13.99 ... which could be a lot of money that a newbie is reluctant to risk at that point in their journey or they may decide (as is often the case) that the niche is too broad and want to change to a more narrowly defined niche. Now we're looking at $30.00 instead of $15.00.

And ...
Yes I have secured the domain even before I posed this scenario (because I have done my research and want to pursue this niche).

LeeMcQuay Premium
You just answered my question that came to mind when I read your question. You are very knowledgeable about this. I knew I was missing something.

I still say just buy the domain. Lol.

If you cannot come up with $30 or so, then blogging is not your biggest problem at the moment. You should get a job or freelancer and work your way up.

Blogging takes to long to need money ASAP.

If $19 for the premium membership and $14 for a domain Is a hardship, then I recommend not doing this and getting a job.

Maybe I'm being cold or not sympathetic... But come on... We are talking $33.

Plus most people's first sites are not going to be their best work because they are learning. Going through the process, even as a newbie, is far better than constantly doing trial runs.

Take action and just do it.

Perhaps I'm in the minority.

Go tell that to the single mother with 4 kids on a benefit who can't go "get a job" - and I suspect there are a few in that situation that are members here. Their intent to become self sufficient and support their family.

And the $19.00 is for the first month only.

$33.00 may not be a big deal to you and I hope it never is.

Anyway - I've said enough and I am obviously not very good at explaining things so I'll leave the teaching to Kyle and the more knowledgeable/senior/successful members.

we can just agree to disagree. no harm no foul. I apologize if my opinion offended anyone. certainly not my intent.

I merely was suggesting that if coming up with the $33 startup cost is a hardship, building a blog should probably not be someone's primary concern. A blog can take 6-12 months, especially for a new person.

They need money now. If getting a job is too difficult, then freelancing is an option as well.

if you got approved and convinced 100 people to join the webinar and even if 50 people showed up, you could probably close 15-20 of them. At $130 a pop = you are talking about $2500 right there.

and dont let the black friday deal stop you, you can do it with the normal yearly membership and make $175 each sale.

look into it! plsu you do not even ahve to show yuor face if you do not want, just do a powerpoint with a voiceover.

Hey Kyle, I'm attempting to set up my menu, however it's giving me the preheader, primeheader and footer options. Though when I choose the primary header it takes away the Home and Privacy Policy menu only showing the menu I created. Then when I choose the other two options, my menu doesn't show up at all. Can you please advise?

Primary header is what you want, you will override your existing menu (that is default and replace it with your own menu). That is what custom menus will do and what you want.

Sounds good, thanks Kyle.

Can I have success here w/o blogging? I completed the free training. I had started my website on chiropractic tables and was going to essentially make a catalog type website with all different kinds of chiropractic and massage tables on there for people to view and receive info on. No idea if that could work or not. Struggling to find and stick to a niche.

Michael,
I find that niche interesting and frankly probably
a good one especially if you have knowledge
about these types of tables - reviewing them
and offering people a way to purchase them
through your website can monetize it as well.

Blogging is essential to affiliate marketing. All blogging means in this context is writing content around the subject of each post. You sound like you have a niche chosen in chiropractic and massage tables. As you create content around that niche, Google will rank you and when your target audience searches for keywords related to your content, your posts will be found and you will start building traffic. Traffic leads to revenue, and that's what this is all about :)

I think the niche is a good one, especially if you have knowledge and experience in this area.

As far as "blogging", in your case, instead of thinking about it as writing a series of articles, maybe do written product reviews of each item on your site. You could address the pros and cons of each, and perhaps even break them up into categories like budget, premium, professional, etc. This might also help with finding targeted keywords to help draw traffic to your site.

Hope this helps.

I think the niche is good too. There can be a lot of stories be told around the product reviews.

Just thought I would ask while I remember this. I know you can create a page in WordPress regarding your privacy policy (and there is a basic page already there), however, do you have a template for this which is in compliance with E.U. regulations? Because a lot of the headings are missing necessary information, e.g.
How we protect your data
What data breach procedures we have in place
What third parties we receive data from
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do...
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

I have so many ideas, and over the years I have seen ideas that I had come to fruition. I cannot just have 1 niche I have a passion for at least 4 how and where to begin. Do I focus on 1 or all 4 as I am passionate about them all the same

Focus on just ONE website and create success with that before diversifying and creating multiple niche websites.

It only takes ONE website in one niche to be very successful online. I usually find that folks that try to do too much at once (focus on several niche websites) end up in a state of mediocrity because it can be overwhelming and you don't really ever become the expert in just one niche.

It is the experts (specialists) that create long term, successful businesses in any niche.

Down the road you can be involved in many different niches, but keep things much more targeted when starting out. :)

Well Section 1 all complete and although i got some great information and insights. I'm still slightly on the fence on the premium membership. I thought I would get enough information in the freemium part of the site in order to create a profitable site and in return invest my profits into the membership but, that is not the case. I did like the simplicity of the walkthroughs but, honestly I feel like i could of figured out a lot of the information on my own with a little personal research? Is the rest of the training like that?

I guess bottom line on what i'm asking is directed towards existing members who have had an on-going premium membership for some time now. How long did it take you to actually profit and make your first few bucks from your website? I don't want to be 300.00 USD/400 CAD (where i'm from) in the hole (debt) for 6 months + before i start profiting a couple bucks here and there...

Let me clarify I am looking for YOUR personal experience on a timeline when YOU started profiting not a reply that's something like "oh it depends how hard you work and how much time you put into it" Yes, I know that give me some numbers ha.

Just looking at the membership from a ROI point of view I guess. Tired of wasting money on courses that I'm spending my time and hard earned money on that aren't providing any return afterwards. Your feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dexter K

Well to start with this is not a get rich quick scheme. You are building a business and it takes time just as a bricks and mortar business does. It is not an investment site either so to be asking about ROI is only something you have to decide for yourself.
As to people giving you information about income and length of time - I doubt that many will offer that information as it is private and confidential as it is with most business entities.

The truth is it does depend on you and how hard you work, but to answer your question for me personally it was 3 or 4 months, I was doing 12/15 hours a week then. This is not a get rich quick scheme but done right it can and will change your life

Thanks Joe! I completely realize it's not a get rich scheme as I guess i also should of mentioned above. Another word for get rich quick scheme online in my mind is SCAM ha. I realize it's an online business and businesses take time I just wanted kind of some general timelines of typically how long it was taking members to start becoming profitable. Your answer was more or less exactly what I was looking for and I appreciate your feedback! 3-4 months was actually kind of my goal timeline as well believe it or not! Hopefully I can come across similar results in the future with WA!

Thanks again for your input,
Dexter K.

Lol... I realize it's not a get rich quick scheme.. I was not meaning to give off the expectation that I would get rich in a day or two. Obviously I am very aware that is extremely unrealistic. I am in complete understanding of what a business is... As I have a business background and Yes, I actually do see it as an investment. Don't be so narrow minded. Your investing in yourself and knowledge and I was curious on the typical return members have gotten out of it.. If you don't want to share, don't comment. Simple as that. I have ran other online businesses before and I would personally have zero issues providing this type of information to a point if someone asked as long as it wasn't detrimental to my business in any way. Your reply was unhelpful.

Have a good day,
Dexter K.

I seem to be missing a step here. I'm going along listening and reading each lesson as we go but I haven't started setting up my web page, I just taking notes as we go. Where do I go to get started? So I know that I'm doing things right.

It is always best to start at the beginning and that is the first 10 lessons with the Online Entrepreneur Certification training.
As you progress through those lessons you will be taken step by step how to build your website and if you work you way through the lessons in a sequential manner you will soon pick up the thread of what this platform is all about

If you are actually doing each task at the end of each lesson, then you are on track to setting up your website.

It is very important that you do each task in the order they are given, otherwise the success of your website will fail.

I agree with @NewLife70 to follow the training from the beginning by skipping lessons just make it confusing, I have done that before there could be answers to questions in the lessons skipped.

Start here: Click on Lesson 1 - learn the lesson but then you need to do the TASKS.

As you go through each lesson, there are TASKS at the end of each lesson that makes you take action on your online business.

You need to do all those lessons in order so you can build your website properly, and do the tasks at the end of each lesson.

The lesson that tells you to create your website site is in Lesson 4 of Level 1 but don't skip the first 3 lessons to get there.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you need more help! :)

You will learn. Take it one step at a time and ask questions. Everything is learned, there's no other way to know how to use them. :)

If you're not upgraded to Premium How many key word options do you get to see in comparison. I believe you need to walk before you can run. I need to see the results before I pay for more access. As the saying goes. " the proof is in the pudding", and my budget is really tight right now.

You get 30 keyword searches as a starter member. As a premium member you get unlimited free keyword searches.

Wealthy Affiliate is no different than any online university other than you get to start learning the basics and build two websites for free.

And like any other university your success will be determined by how well you learn and apply what you have learned. Education is key to success.

But the really nice thing about WA is the price, which is the cheapest you will find anywhere online or off. And your first month only costs $19.

Well it looks like I'm in the weeds with this lesson. I went through the training on creating a navigation menu. I went back a reread it twice. I was able to load up the page and plugins. However I'm using an android phone to do this so things are different for me. The privacy policy page is titled incorrectly and I have tried to correct it to no avail. I have tried to save menu and publish it then refresh it. Still nothing is working. Someone please help me.

Hello All! I've set-up my All in One SEO Settings for my website. However, when I view Source, I can't find the site description. Nor can I find the wordings of meta, or All in One SEO Settings, as seen in the training video. Am I doing something wrong, or does it take time to populate? Thank you.
