OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link

within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a "Building Your Website in Under 30 Seconds" video walking you through the Website Platform (also known as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Task 1: Build Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host your own FREE website as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domains). As a Premium Plus+ member, you can build and host up to 50 websites (including websites on your own domains). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can easily move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.siterubix.com

Title: Basketball Skills and Drills

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

Level 1 Lesson 3
This is good yet a tad overwhelming. Choosing a Niche
I have multiple skill sets and talents. I'd love to start with my advocacy for autism...

I know what I want/need to be doing but my desire is far greater than my resources/knowledge of what's available regarding living with autism. (This is where I get stuck, not quite knowing how to pull my thoughts together to ask the right questions and get the help I need); do, ask away.

_____________________________________

In addition, I can go for a niche in sewing without patterns, freehand or repurposing (taking the old and making it new).

DIY on a budget @ household/home office projects in organization or decorations.

DIY jewelry and accessories.

There is more but these are almost effortlessly to make. I enjoy all of my gifts and abilities.

When you choose a niche,
1)be sure you have a strong passion for it, something you could work on 6 months or more and something that can be a long term business.
2) Are there related products and existing affiliate programs.. You can do a google search.
my niche + Affiliate program (optional: .location)
3) Find out about the interest level. you can use trends.gooigle.com
4) Find out what kind of questions people are asking. Is that something you want to help people with?
https://www.usetopic.com/people-also-ask

A niche is something you feel super excited to write about, a skill you have attained, something that resonates with you. You will want to be focused on one niche. What is it that you want to help a group of people with or what problem do you want to help them solve (group could be age, gender, location, experience level, degree or type of need, etc.)

Why should you narrow your niche?
The key to getting started fast is to narrow your niche down to a specific topic. This way, you will eliminate a lot of competition and get results much faster.
Niche example
Camping essentials for beginners as a niche subject Computer essentials for beginners. Strength training for women over 40.

If you are willing to pay? You can make more than one .com on here. For your .com's; if you are willing to pay? You can have more than one website? But, it might be a Lot of work.

I will say too; if you are not familiar with a subject? That is okay. You can research 3 articles on the subject you want to post about.

After that; and you might take notes? After that; you can make your own articles; in your own Original words; and that are you own words.

Hope this helps and encourages?

Hi

You need choose a ONE focused niche starting out, otherwise you will find it very hard to get noticed by the search engines and to compete with big authority sites. Target audience is important too, who would you be writing to, once you are able to identify them, you are closer to finding a focused niche.

So I'd say which one resonates best with you?

More info

A niche subject is something you are passionate and genuinely interested in could be a hobby or an interest, and know so well you can write plenty original content about.

ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

For example if you are in yoga
Yoga exercises for beginners

When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:

So I want to help people with ____________________ ?

Fill in the blank and you are going to get closer to a specific audience. Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to cover another subcategory.

See example blog post below Meanwhile I'd ask as many questions as I want to get clarifications,

Hi

It cannot be quantifiable, because there's lots of elements to the equation, it depends what niche you choose, how you go about the coursework and your understanding, writing original content, good choice of keywords, consistency of publishing, etc

However WA is a learning platform teaches us how to build a progressive successful site for affiliate marketing. Please follow the training and apply what is taught all is explained within the lessons, ticking checklists bottom of lessons, tasks asked of you to complete in order to set up properly.

How soon you reach your goal is affected by a lot of factors. The more experience you have online working with websites and blogging the quicker you can reach your goals.

As for your niche, it is difficult to suggest a niche for another because it must be something you are passionate about, willing to spend a year or more on it, willing to write 100's of posts about it to help people.

A niche is something you feel super excited to write about, a skill you have attained, something that resonates with you. You will want to be focused on one niche. Hi

Those are the products you would be promoting on your site vs a niche subject. You need figure out your focused niche before you name your site.

You may start of with a siterubix subdomain and run with the training, if you made a mistake you can delete and start again. However, with a dot com URL and you made a mistake, you'd have to purchase a new domain name, and as you are a starter, hosting is included in a premium subscription to the platform.

So it look like you are interested in football. Are you sure you are very passionate about it and are willing spend at least 6 months and write over 100 posts about football.

Here's how it works. You choose a niche for example
Football essentials for beginners. Your website will be all about foot ball and beginners. So your domain name could be something like beginnersfootball.siterubix.com then you will use Jaaxy the keyword tool to find keyword phrases with low competition and good ranking opportunity and write posts for them.

You can use http://usetopic.com/people-also-ask and Google search scroll down and find "People also ask section" to find questions people ask about it so you get more ideas for posts.

Most of us start out not knowing how to do this. Your free .siterubix.com website will give you an opportunity to practice and learn how this works.

Hello, this is amazing and really easy to understand, thank you!
As I went through these steps, I noticed it asked me to install the additional plugins (Blossom themes), so it was a bit confusing. I don't know if this is explained in further lessons, but if you're like me, to click first and think later, I found a blog on this you can refer to, just to have a peace of mind that you did't do anything wrong :))
Hope it helps!

Hi

First I note them down.

They are additions to your theme for it to function better however you do not have to install them. if you do and have noted them down you'd know what they are in case you don't like current theme and wanting to change it.

Thanks for including the required plugins blog.
Yes many themes suggest additional plugins for activation based on the purpose of the theme. WooCommerce plugins are really not needed for Affiliate marketers because we do not handle the product or do any billing.

Glad you are enjoying the training and finding it easy to understand.

Hello, I realized in lesson 2 there are no affiliate programs through Jaxxy for my Niche's. I found affiliate programs on my own however. Would I be able to use the affiliate programs I found on the websites I am building on WA, or do they all have to be through Jaxxy?
