OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link

within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a "Building Your Website in Under 30 Seconds" video walking you through the Website Platform (also known as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Task 1: Build Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host your own FREE website as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 10 websites (including websites on your own domains). As a Premium Plus+ member, you can build and host up to 50 websites (including websites on your own domains). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time and our hosting platform is industry leading in terms of speed, security, and reliability...all critical factors to running a successful online business.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can easily move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.siterubix.com

Title: Basketball Skills and Drills

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to ONE theme that has been hand picked for quality, speed, security, and overall theme design.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 4,134 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

You are going to notice that there are many other website features allocated within the SiteRubix menu. I don't want to eat up too much of your time here, but it is important that you understand the incredible benefits of the SiteRubix platform.

The powerful hosting you have access you here is unparalleled in the Managed Wordpress hosting industry. We truly specialize here in providing a secure, robust and FAST platform for you to run your website.

We know that your website IS your business, and it is important that you have the most advanced technology to keep your business operating at 100% at all times of the day.

The following are just some of the powerful features included within the SiteRubix platform here at WA.

  • SiteManager (Starter, Premium & Premium Plus+)
  • SiteContent (Starter, Premium & Premium Plus+)
  • SiteBuilder (Starter, Premium & Premium Plus+)
  • SiteDomains (Starter, Premium & Premium Plus+)

To make your sites secure and fast, we have some SiteRubix EXCLUSIVE technologies to make sure your websites are operating at lightening speeds, but also in a very secure way that protects you from hackers, spammers, and all forms of erroneous attacks.

There you have it, the low down of the SiteRubix platform and you have your website officially up and running online. Exciting stuff!

As we move forward within the training we are going to be building out your website content, and working to get indexed and ranked in Google, Bing & Yahoo (and do so for free).

Have questions about this lesson? Leave them below in the comments area and we will be more than happy to help you out. :)

Is there a limit to how many websites I can create? I have ideas for multiple niches that I wanna research on the basis of demographics tailored to men women and children (dense populations) , health optimization focusing on multiple interdependent parts, seasonal apparel or holiday site, beauty focusing on skin care and anti aging, and finally technology and it toys. Can it be possible to run multiple sites simultaneously or must I only focus on one source initially?

Hi

As a starter you can have a one siterubix subdomain, however as and when you become a premium, you may either have up to 10 sites (mix of subdomains and premiums - tier one) and up to 50 premium sites - tier 2 subscriptions.

The recommendation is to focus on ONE niche site starting out.

ONE niche, a website. Products and programs can be varied however all must be relevant to the niche.

In more details.

A niche subject is something you are passionate and genuinely interested in could be a hobby or an interest, and know so well you can write plenty original content about.

You may consult with https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

For example if you are in yoga
Yoga exercises for beginners

When deciding on a niche try narrow it down to a more specific niche, you can ask yourself the following question:

So I want to help people with ____________________ ?

Fill in the blank and you are going to get closer to a specific audience. Essentially you are writing more informational posts so that you do not sound so salesy to Google and if there’s a solution, a detailed analysis review post for your visitors to let them make an informed decision whether to go click your links and go purchase the focused item you proposed to solve their issue.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to acover another subcategory.

See example blog post below You can do a google search
Your niche + affiliate programs
Your niche + affiliate programs + location
and see what results you get

Meanwhile I'd ask as many questions as I want to get clarifications,

Initially when a website is new it is important to dedicate enough time to it so that it ranks well and grows traffic. To do that it requires research and writing at least 100 posts (1000 words plus). Thus creating multiple sites at one time is very challenging. It is important to grow each site to become an authority site.

We are delighted to see that you have so many interests and that your interests are so varied. Its even more exciting to see that you enjoy doing research. You will certainly enjoy creating your own websites and writing niche related posts.

As for the niches you listed, your ideas can become easier to create a website for if you think of an audience you want to help. The success of a website depends upon how well it helps people in your niche. Choosing an audience means that your posts will be directed to help a targeted group of people. It can be those with a problem needing a solution that your content will help to solve. By creating an audience you eliminate a lot of competition which gives your website an opportunity to rank and grow in traffic.

We are very excited for you and your online future.

Here's some niche related thoughts..
A niche is something you feel super excited to write about, a skill you have attained, something that resonates with you. You will want to be focused on one niche. What is it that you want to help a group of people with or what problem do you want to help them solve (group could be age, gender, location, experience level, degree or type of need, etc.)

A niche is not a product, it's a subject that you can help a target audience with. Remember, you are not setting up a shop (store), you will be writing lots of articles about your niche to help your targeted audience.

Kyles asks us to complete this statement.
'i want to help ____(group) with ______(problem)'

For example. I like camping and what to help campers buy the right equipment to make their camping experience more pleasant and safe.

Camping is a very broad topic with a lot of competition so to eliminate some competition in the beginning so the website has a chance to grow, the focus needs to be a smaller scope. For example essential camping equipment for beginners. Once the website is established and has a good volume, its scope can be expanded to include other things camping related. This is just an example.

Hi, I have a few questions.

1) My niche is in products that promote aesthetically pleasing homes. For example, for kitchens, I’d write a post on organizational tips. Then maybe another post on the bathroom, living room, etc.
Is this too general of a niche?

2) I already made and deleted a website after realizing “The Classy Home” has a lot of competition on Google and the domain is already taken. I changed it to “The Classiest Home.” I’m not finding my website when I search for it on Google though. Am I doing something wrong?

3) I’m not the best writer and am anxious about making content for a niche as I feel I’m not an authority in the matter. I’m also a relatively private person and normally stay away from social media. I’m finding the idea of people even finding my website a huge impossibility.
Is it normal to feel this way in the beginning? Will WA teach ways to get visitors on your website?

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Kind regards.

Hi

I believe it may be, you would find it very hard to get noticed by the search engines and to compete with big authority sites.

I would start with a refined focused subcategory and once totally exhausted I would then think to scale up to cover another subcategory.

Once a site starts gaining traction, traffic and authority you can then scale to acover another subcategory.

When it comes to classiest home what is it that you like most to focus on. I would suggest you start with a narrower focus - (maybe just one room or organization in all rooms.) Once you get your site established with some traffic then you can expand your niche idea.

You domain name is okay and will accommodate niche expansion nicely. But when you first start it is important to start with a narrow focus so you can eliminate some competition and get rankings.

Your rankings will not come from your domain name, but from all of the content posts you write.

Since you are new to writing posts, the more you know about your niche the better, so that you don't need to spend so much time researching. But you can also research and learn about something. It just takes longer.

The kind of post content you can write is informational (definitions, how to, what is), product related buying guides, installation, reviews, comparisons. The Paid Premium training has example outlines for you. to follow and learn from

Your website has probably not been indexed yet. WA will send you a notification. You can always copy your URL and put it in a browser and when you publish something it will show up.

You will start with writing posts for your website. When they are published the search engines will index, and rank them. When people search for your niche content it will appear in the search results. You can do a browser search and get a feel for it. You do not have to do social media right away if you feel uncomfortable. The training gives you all the keys to getting traffic.

Take it one step at a time. There is no rush. Relax and do enjoy this opportunity.

Focus on the opportunity to help people and you will soon forget about being nervous. Your goal is to help others with your niche.

You do not have to the best writer or a super expert, think of it like explaining something to a colleague or friend, you do not need to overthink it.

And this is a tool we regularly use and it helped us a lot.

You may also want to try Grammarly tool which would help with writing and learning, an avenue for you to explore.

You don't need to be on social media other than sharing your posts onto social media platforms - 15 minutes, three times a day is what 's needed. The rest of time I'd concentrate on researching and writing content.

Hi, so since I really don't have much of a passion for much, I'm choosing the niche "online businesses" or "making money online". A major concern of mine has always been content of a website. How do I write content when I have little experience with the niche? (Although I do have interest in it). Also, cold I hire someone from Fiverr or something to somehow write some content?

Hi

To learn more about the Affiliate Bootcamp, the make money online niche, you need head to

level One of the Affiliate Bootcamp And find your direction, i.e. your target audience. However, we always recommend starting out with own niche vs the Affiliate Bootcamp (make money online niche) as the latter is a lot harder and more competitive, you would need to write 300 to 400 articles before you are able scratch the surface. (vs. 100 articles own niche)

You'd also need to do the whole Bootcamp in its entirety before you can commence with your site.

Recommendation is to focus on ONE niche at a time, even Kyle himself would recommend the same.

To learn more It would be better if you are passionate and genuinely interested in a niche that you know well and can create / produce lots of content.

Should you want to go ahead and hire a writer, you are needing an SEO writer, and you need ample budget for that. I would NOT pursue this with Fiverr vs Upwork for example. Otherwise you will end up editing their work and that's not productivity.

Just watched the training video on keywords, and researching keywords.
My question is how we use these keywords? I'm assuming we use the keyword or keyword phrases anywhere in our content on our site? Perhaps even use the keywords as "tags" in articles we post on our site?
thanks in advance

The keyword phrase list you have will be used to write content posts about your niche.

One keyword Phrase is used per content post title. That is what your post will be about. Obviously other keywords may appear in your content as you write but the focus of each post should represent the keyword phrase title..

So there will be multiple posts on your niche idea. - Definitions, how to, buying guides, product review, comparisons to name a few..

So Keep your keyword list handy.

Hi

Your found target keywords go in the title of your post and again in first or second paragraph then write freely. Some include them towards a conclusion if it conveys a message.

Look for searches (avg.) above 30 and competition (qsr. ) lower than 100, the lower the qsr the better. Starter sites SEO greater than 95.

For your choice of keywords, always do an incognito search on Google before settling on a keyword, to see who appears in the top 3 positions.
