OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link

within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a "Building Your Website in Under 30 Seconds" video walking you through the Website Platform (also knwn as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Task 1: Build Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host up to 2 FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 25 free websites and the ability to create 25 sites on your own domains (total 50 websites). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.stierubix.com

Title: Basketball Skills and Drills

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to 12, hand picked quality designs.

As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 2,464 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

How do I make a post appear under a certain page on my menu?

What is the best way to put affiliate links within your posts without getting google mad at you? is it best to do some keyword directed blogs that have no affiliate links and then have some that do have them or??? what do you reccomend?

Hi!

First the post. Go to Appearance then Menus. Select you post then Add to Menu. You can then drag the post on top of the page you want it in. You’ll know it’s under the right page because it’ll be indented under the page name.

Now for the affiliate links. Just following the training on how to add links. About 5 links are good. I alternate between post with and without links and this has worked well. So far all my posts are being indexed by Google. I usually do 2/1 ratio (without/with), but some do 3/1 ratio.

Hi - your niche is the subject of your website - fishing, gardening, electronics etc. The content is the articles you write about your niche. You can promote any products related to your chosen subject. You can use Amazon or other programs.

I've managed a lot of different wordpress platforms, as well as other content management systems. I have to say, you guys have done a great job of assembling a solid set of tools and lessons. Kudos for making it easy to get started and keeping people encouraged.

All the details of getting started with a new site is often its own hurdle. Its easy to get discouraged, but once you cross that line it becomes much simpler. These lesson series literally walk you through what most developers have to do on every project. Very professional.

working through the keyword searches for niches and sorting out the exact url and name of the website. I have what looks like a good keyword but it is mostly a sentence without the prepositions. Jaaxy shows it has these values: avg - 242, traffic - 42, QSR - 0, SEQ - 97....I did a google search of these terms and the results showed the first 7 on the list had no meta description or meta keywords...the 8th showed up with a couple of each...but mostly on the first page there wasn't a website that had that information. How does that figure in with ranking. The 7th site had the words but they were arranged throughout the content and not arranged in a sentence.
I must be over complicating this process...and it is seeming to me that this set of words are too lofty for any small niche that I might be going for...the drill down, the individual person would get lost on the first page. Is that a proper assumption...
I should just make it point to something like miagraines or just splitting headaches...or nobody likes me fat...
This is challenging to not overthink everything.

(1) You are going to be writing content within your niche

English is not my first language, even tho I have a good grip of it... should I choose a niche/tribe who speak my first language (French)?

Or if I have a good level of English enough maybe I shouldn't close myself to a bigger audience right?

Also, I feel stressed about NOT doing BOTH trainings, the normal one and the Bootcamp. Will I miss anything by not following them both? The video says no but I can't help, it's in my personality trait to learn as much as possible in life.

Salut Damien, I recommend the Level 1 training, etc before going over to Bootcamp. Skills in the first are transferable to the second so you won't be missing out.
Regarding language, what you have written here is perfect so it's safe to go with English if you have a niche idea. If you need help, I would be willing to read drafts and comment, no problem and, you can also use the comments thread to get feedback from other people too. I hope this helps. Bon Chance! Steve C

Bonjour, Damien,

That's actually a good question. English is not my first language either, but I feel comfortable using it. I know it's not perfect, but I try to proofread everything before posting it.

I think blogs in English have a larger audience than blogs in any other language, but that's just my opinion. Before opening my website, I had been thinking if I should do it in Spanish (my first language), but I decided to do English. I might try Spanish later on.

And don't stress over not doing both your niche and the bootcamp at the same time. It's too much to handle. Believe me. Think what is more convenient for you and pick one.

Bon courage!

Damien hi, you can absolutely apply the training in WA and create a site with your native language being the main one.

I think there's a bigger audience that speak/read English than French. I am living in Montreal, Canada and french was my first language.

Forget about the bootcamp for now. On my side I dont even pay attention to it since I think writing should be about a passion first. Of course as soon as you have the knowledge and writting skills you should try the second part of this training.

Salutations,
Alvaro
