OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.
Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.
Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!
Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.
I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.
Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).
Below I have included a video walking you through the Website Platform (also knwn as SiteRubix) here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

DISCUSS VIDEO: Building Your Websites in 30 Seconds, LIterally
Task 1: Build Your Website
Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!
The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to take less than 30 seconds to get a fully operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.
There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.
Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website
There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.
You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.
If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host up to 2 FREE websites as a Starter.
As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 25 free websites and the ability to create 25 sites on your own domains (total 50 websites). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time.
For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".
Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can move it to your own domain.
Step 2: Choose a Domain
Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choosing a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.
As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.
When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.
You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".
Step 3: Choose a Website Name
The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:
Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.stierubix.com
Title: Basketball Skills and Drills
It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.
Step 4: Choose a Design
The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to 12, hand picked quality designs.
As a Premium Member though you will have access to over 2,464 designs (as shown below) or your website and there are always new designs being added to this daily. These are referred to as "Themes".
Choose a design that you like.
Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

I am conveying a very simple Research Project. I Respectfully Request the allowance and pleasure of asking One Question to you all. I simply want to get a Visual of Real, Truthful, Daily Statistics.
Within Your Business, I simply would like to obtain Knowledge and Insight into the Amount you Spend Monthly in order to offer Credit/Debit Cards as a Payment Option? I would love to hear all the amounts and will be Exponentially Grateful for your response. Thank you in Advance🙂🙏📈📉
Maybe I didn't read the fine print but you should know I've put in mega hours this week and feel really stupid.
Thanks for your help,
Hannah
Also, the font on the third heading of my ABOUT ME post does not match the other two and I have tried all the different font settings there. How can I fix this?
Cheers to your success,

Phew, I’m really not technically minded at all so building my website is proving to be a challenge...but I’m getting there!
The videos and training are brilliant for me, step but tiny little step guides are what I need for this.
I’m very far from my comfort zone, which is good, I’m learning great things...my 2nd website will be easier to build...there’s optimism for you!
Give me a garden to work in with plants and seeds etc, I have no problem with...this is a bit like growing seeds...with patience and diligence my website will flower...
Have a great day everyone.

I will be happy to earn $200 per month.
QUESTION #2: How much would you be ecstatic earning?
Honestly I can't tell but I am guessing between $300 - $600 per month.
QUESTION #3: And how much TIME are you willing to invest to achieve these goals?
I am willing to sacrifice 4-6 hours after hours a day because i work for 8 hours a day to reach my goals.
I have a question about the menu tabs at the top navigation position. You had mentioned in your training that some templates do and some do not have the Home menu tab. Mine did not, though I was able to add it by following your instructions. My question is that the one I created does not perform (no side menu, text presented in a narrower format) the same as the other tabs in the top or main menu navigation,. Can you possibly please enlighten me as to why this may be the case. Thank you for any help you can provide.
Tim
1. What happens to them when you cease being a WA member?
Continue with the underlying host? Move them to another host?
2. When you have Premium, is SiteSSL included or is it an extra fee?
3. Can you move existing sites into the WA environment?
Thanks.

Kyle u are awesome. Moving ahead at my pace. Slow but learning in leaps and bounds. Bitten by the internet entrepreneur proverbial bug.
I know now. After hours of work when possible, at home, instead of wasting time between JOBS(Just Over Broke),....I'm getting busy finally. it will be awhile before i'm paid. No Worries.
Time to be independent. Thanx Kyle and Carson.
Will be premium when it's time. Then I can start paying forward.
Be loved
P.S. Glad I figured out how to reach you.
P.P.S. Best of luck to all at WC.
Thank you for any insight.

#2 Airbrushing & tattooing been doing this tattooing since 14 airbrushing started in 2012
#3 comic collectables I'm a comic nerd
P.S: I have a master card
thanks
I hold a PhD degree in women health and infertility. And I have successfully sold in the past anti-aging products "Offline" but failed to duplicate that success online and lost lots of money.
So, it made sense to me to try again now that I am learning the process all over the right way. I understand that this niche falls under health and beauty which is very competitive industry. Any suggestion as how to narrow it down? Alter it?!
I also thought about teaching the technical aspect of podcasting and/or voice over since I have been doing both for over 13 years now. I can also recommend products (mics, mixers..etc) for commissions. But I have also noticed that neither have a big market to make it a long-term.
Finally, Keto Dieting since I have been on it for few months now and the results are just amazing. Lost more than 14Kg so I think I can contribute in this market. But is keto diet very generic?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
I'm currently building the list of keywords for the site I'm building and I've noticed that in the list for the first word I've typed I've got the Avg at over 100, but the QSR shows no number at all (it's literally blank). Is this to indicate to me that the keywords displaying these stats are uncommon-but-ripe-keywords, or is this indicative of something else?
Thank you,
Oz
A newbie here. And I wonder whether it is allowed to skip the tasks and proceed to next lesson. As we know that as non-premium member we'all only have 7 days to ask questions in the forum.
I don't think that I can manage to upgrade my status as yet, on the other hand I don't want t waste and want to make use as much as possible those chances given whilst proceeding as far as I can go the process of the first 10.
Thank you in advance :)
I am planning on making my website as popular as possible but as i am doing my lessons now, I took the free domain with siterubix, my question is if this would affect my ability to get traffic and make money on my site.
Would I be better of using a bought .com domain? I would think having your own domain that you bought will be better?
1. Who is the owner of bought domain via WA?
2. Can i edit my webpage (not siterubix, com) in different ways than using siterubix or WA? In other words.. what will happen to my page when i decide one day to leave WA community?
3. I wanted to pick one specific domain name but its now available. Is it worth to buy that .com page or is it better to pick .net (for example). I thing websites with .com looks more professional than .net .org ...
P.S. I hope #2 doesnt sound like i want to run away from WA today. Im only 2 days here but im really excited about this. This second question just means if i have full access and control above my website.
Thanks for answers and wish you all nice day.
Dave
Reviews can be my niche, such as reviews on different health products, beauty products, movies, and yoga & exercises because I'm very much keen to Know about healthy lifestyle.
Could you please advise me on the same.
Also tell me if I buy my own domain name then I won't have siterubix(.)com in my website URL. E.g. if I create free website then I will have health(dot)siterubix com but if I buy my own domain name then it would be like health(dot)com.
I have taken health as an example.
Kindly advise
My question is, do i use the keyword type 'best (topic/product) reviews'? or just 'best (topic/product)'
I hope this makes sense.
I may be making this more difficult? Thanks for your input & patience!
I did affiliate program in the past (down to drain) and the hardest obstacle I had to overcome (which I didn't) was coming up with a niche...
It took me weeks there... nothing.
Here while watching the video, I came up with one that quickly and after following your suggestions I came up with 2 more.
So I can't express my gratitude to you enough...
Thank you.
Can one add affiliates to their website at this beginning stage or does one have to have lots of traffic before adding affiliates?
Also, at what point can one let readers know that they are getting paid through affiliate marketing? Is it possible to add something to the "Privacy Policy" page?
Thanks
I was thinking of having this website for tips and guides and such, and have the products marketed on the side, such as the kind of gear popular players use.
Second, I'm concerned about copy right. Is it something I need to be worried about? Lets say someone does a site about comic books, would they be in danger of being sued? Then there is also the concern of imagery on the box of an affiliate item that is linked. This may be a silly question, but I spent my early ears as an artist, and we were taught from day one to fear the copy right system.
I’m excited to give this a shot,
I’m thinking plants/seeds/bulbs...
There are so many other things to choose though,
Furniture, Tools, Containers/Planters, Ornaments...Could these niches be added to my website at a later date or would Ibuild new websites in the future.
I also thought tocombine gardening and wine, again is this too big an idea?
First my apology for the loooong post:-). So I just finished watching the "Choosing a Direction" video and do have an idea what I want to do.
I have been doing a lot of research for the past few months which led me to Wealthy Affiliates. So research is one of my strength.
I would like to helping people achieve financial freedom - by giving them lots of valuable information about what and where I got information that has helped me thus far - my focus is Investing, Saving (including coupon use) and Online business.
I also love Photography. NOT AN EXPERT photographer, just love taking CELL PHONE pictures of mostly nature and landscapes. So I intend to use my pictures as well
The above is going to be a blog.
On the ecommerce side, I also have an idea of what I would like to sell, except that I feel it is saturated.
My questions are:
- can anyone suggest a niche? I just want to see if other suggestions would match with what I already have in mind.
- Also, should I use the 2 free site on the starter package to create separate sites or should I just do the blogging and perhaps add a sale section for my product? Is that possible or recommended?
- Lastly, how can I use my pictures to make money on the my site? Should I add a tab to display the pictures?
Thank you
I am now able to work on this with hopes for better life style since I'm gaining in years and no longer able to lift tall ladders to paint houses. I can use all the help I can get to get move on.

But thank God (universe ) for This company,Wealthy Affiliate. To all the new people, and seasoned. STAY RIGHT HERE ! I'm only 2 years in online marketing, I'm not a know it all,but I lost over $60,000.00. in this space I now know what to look for in a company and sometimes losing can be a lesson in winning. So Raquel 14 and others, it's a lot. Just follow along in bit size little pieces.Example : I hate 1 hour long training videos. So i'll break it down into 2 , 30 min. videos, watching one half first. Then go Blog or something. Then I'll come back and watch the second half. How ever you do it just do it.And engage the way it makes you comfortable in the process. This your business people.Build it at your speed. At the end of the day you'll be proud and we will be proud of.....PEACE
I'm not sure if this happened to anyone else, but I found myself losing some information while working from within the template. For some reason or another, I exited from the template page. When I went back in and clicked on the latest version, not everything I had typed (from the past 10-15 minutes) was there. The "autosave" function may not be saving as often as people may expect, so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WRITING YOUR TEXT WITHIN A WORD DOCUMENT FIRST, and when you are done, SAVE A COPY and then you can COPY/PASTE INTO THE SITECONTENT template. There may be some formatting differences when you paste it in, but at least you know that there is a backup for your post content. Hope this helps, thanks everyone!
