OK, awesome. You now have your niche, in other words, the direction for your brand & business. That is great and don't worry about this not being "perfectly clear" at this point, as you move forward the pieces of the puzzle are going to come together.

Starting with a big piece today, your website. We are going to be taking our niche idea and turning it into a tangible business starting with your website.

Building a Website Ain't Scary, It's FUN!

Building a website sounds like a "scary" process, but fortunately you have access to the most advanced, yet simplistic website platform in the world here at Wealthy Affiliate. We pride ourselves as a technology company here at Wealthy Affiliate and we are the industry leaders in the website development space.

I am not going to toot our horn any longer, I would rather you experience the website builder and platform for itself. The first step today is going to be building your website, which will literally take you less than 30 seconds.

Click the SiteBuilder link within the menu, and you are going to be ready to rock here (and complete the next task).

Below I have included a video walking you through the SiteRubix platform here at WA and showing you how quickly and efficiently you can build a website here at Wealthy Affiliate.

DISCUSS VIDEO: Create a Website in Under 30 Seconds

Task 1: Building Your Website

Your website is your foundation of your business. It is where all of your traffic is ultimately going to come to, where you are going to build brand and trust within the industry, and where you can promote products/services and generate $$$!

The SiteBuilder platform here at WA is the most simplistic, yet advanced in the industry. It is going to less than 30 seconds to get a full operational, profit ready Wordpress website up and running online.

There are 4 steps in the website build process, that I am going to walk you through here. To access the SiteBuilder and EVERYTHING related to your website, you will simply click the light blue "SiteRubix" button in the main menu.

Step 1: Choose the Kind of Website

There are really TWO options here, on a FREE website or on your OWN domain. Ideally, you will have your own domain, but that can come with time.

You can "register" your very own domains right within Wealthy Affiliate using our state of the art SiteDomains platform, which will allow you to instantly set-up your own domain for your own use.

If you are just starting out as a Starter member, you will be building a website on the .siterubix.com domain, which is a completely free website. You can build and host up to 2 FREE websites as a Starter.

As a Premium member, you can build and host up to 25 free websites and the ability to create 25 sites on your own domains (total 50 websites). That is more than adequate to drive many multi-million dollar businesses over time.

For the sake of this training, we are going to be choosing "On a free domain".

Do know that within the Premium membership, you can easily MOVE a free .siterubix.com button to a registered domain (one you may own) using the "Premium Only" MOVE feature. So by all means start off with a free website and then down the road you can move it to your own domain.

Step 2: Choose a Domain

Remember last lesson when I chose my "niche". In this step, I am going to be choose a name for my website and placing it in the "domain name" field. This is because this will be my website URL and my brand moving forward.

As you can see below, I have added my brand "how to lose belly fat today" into the domain field.

When you type in your domain, it will let you know if it is available or not. In my case it was, but if your first choice is not available simply do another search until you find a domain name that works for you.

You cannot put spaces in your domain name, hence why my domain is "howtolosebellyfattoday".

Step 3: Choose a Website Name

The name of your website should match your domain, but it just needs to be grammatically correct (with proper spacing). You can see below my example of this:

Domain: basketballskillsanddrills.stierubix.com

Title: Basketball Skills and Drills

It is as simple as that. Don't overthink this step, your title will be the same as your domain.

Step 4: Choose a Design

The last step is choosing a "look" for your theme. As a Starter member you will have access to 12, hand picked quality designs.

As a though you will have access to over 2,464 designs (as shown below) or your website. These are referred to as "Themes".

Choose a design that you like.

Click on the design you like, and then you will be able to build your site.

SiteRubix, a Next Level Website and Hosting Platform.

I am overwhelmed and skeptical, but very interested. I don't know if I have the skill level to be as success as the career guarantees. I want to start something and finishing it with rewarding results for once in my life. What is some good advice for someone who just learnt about this and is just getting started?
Reply
adreyna Premium
The best advice is to follow the training step-by-step and then take action on everything you learn. When you follow the training you will learn everything you need to create a successful online website. Be sure to ask questions if you need help with anything.
Reply
BarryBullard Premium
I completely understand how you feel and it is common to feel that way at the start. There will be a rough period at the start where you are doing the right things consistently and not getting any results. Pushing through this period will pay off as each action builds on each other until the traction will blow you away. Overall advice: Focus on the power of one. One thing until it's done and then move onto the next thing. You will accomplish much more this way.
Advice on getting started: take each lesson one at a time and do the tasks. Share your success even if it's just finishing the lessons and completing the tasks.

You are in the right place for online success.

Im having one concern. what if I can't afford to get the premium training right now and can't afford a domain? I don't know if having a free domain will hold me back because of the way it looks with the a Actual website included. Does that matter with online businesses ?

There is no rush for you to go Premium. Just follow the training, and the free domain will be fine for you to get started with. The themes look fine and many people have done well over time with them. You can always transfer it to your own domain once you start making money. Please feel free to ask for help if you have any questions. You have a very supportive community ready to help you. You can do this!

Hi Kyle Goodmorning, how are you doing sir? Please i a question. I bought my domain name yesterday but when I clicked the site manager so that I can move my website to my domain name, it shows me this page that says NO WORDPRESS WEBSITE INSTALLED but down below it by the side it by the side it says install website and beside it too, it says details. So I don't know if I should go ahead and click the install website or to click details. And to let you know I have not done anything about website here since I started this. So please help me I don't know what to do at this point. I want to be able to move my website to my domain name.

Hi, Good morning!

I know your ready to get things moving so I can help you with this...your going to choose the button that says, "MOVE"

A menu will pop up and it'll give you two choices select

"To an Existing Domain", then choose your new domain name you purchased from the drop down.

If you have never purchased any other domain with WA you'll one see one domain name there, so select it...

Then click "I'm Ready, Move My Site!".

Now your website should be moved. Here is a tutorial by Kyle to help.... How to Transfer a SiteRubix Website to Your Own Domain
I hope this helps...let me know if you need any further help...

Hi Kisha thanks for helping me out. So I think I have start building my website before I can move it to my domain because I have not done anything about website here since I started.
Reply
lakbar12 Premium
You're Welcome! I was just moving trying to help you move forward and misread the info. So, my apologies....

Oh! Are you saying you do not have a website to move? You just purchased a domain? Correct?

If that is the case then you will just go to SiteRubix on the left. You will find it in the light blue color.

Select SiteBuilder, then select on a domain I own

Select the upside down arrow your domain should appear

Then enter your website tittle, which will be the same as you domain name.

Select any theme that you want, you can preview them before you decided on the finally one. And, if you decide that you do not like the theme you can always change it later. I've changed mine 3 times with no problems. Not all themes offer the same features so, it is best to preview them if you are looking for certain features.

After you select the theme, click the green button that says
"click here to build the Site"

Here is a tutorial, that can help you through but instead of using
Siterubix.com you are going to replace it with yourowndomain.com
Okay hope this helps, let me know if you get stuck. I will do my best in helping you move forward...

I need help on two issues. 1. if you purchase a domain name here, do you have to pay for the hosting or your website will be automatically hosted?
2. Is there cost associated with transferring your domain from another registrar to WA and when you transfer your own domain, will it be automatically hosted on the SiteRubix platform or you will still pay for the hosting services?

Looking forward to your useful answers

Ben - welcome to WA.
if you puchase a domain here - you pay nothing extra for hosting - it is all included within your premium membership.
there is no cost fortransferring your domain and hosting here is included within your premium membership.
for free members, you have access to the two free sites.
Premium members have access to 25 free sites and hosting for 25 domains.
Hope that has helped a little

While there is no separate "transfer charge", there is a cost incurred to transfer the domain registration to WA. When you do the transfer, you will need to pay for one year of the regular domain registration fee. (That payment extends the domain's expiration date by a full year so you don't lose any of the registration period that you've already paid for.)

I've published my Privacy Policy page on my website, but I'm having a few issues. When I view my website I don't see the page at all...when I search for it in the search bar, it pulls up though. Is that normal? It might just be the theme I'm using. Also, even though it published as a page and I've checked the two boxes mentioned...it still has a comment section below?

Hi Blake,
I also published my privacy page as a page and it had the comment section. I went back into SiteRubix, clicked Site Manager and signed back in. I went to Page, All pages and did a quick edit on my Privacy Policy Page and unchecked comments. I hope this helps.

Jaaxy.... It's a great and very powerful tool to use as it gives global internet keyword search engines results...! Yahoo, Bing & Google. etc.

However I have some question about this, if Jaaxy gives the global internet search results with a targeted niche keyword(s), as per the Avg. - Traffic, - QSR, - KQI - SEO - Domains. What if my Niche Keyword is targeting a specific geographical area, like specific item for specific country, how do I filter that, or is there any way to filter it....?
Reply
midhunvm Premium
I too have this question. In my case what I have done is this.

Let's take "used cars" as an example.I have typed in the following
keyword in jaaxy: "used cars in [my local location]". In place of "my local location" I have provided my local area name.

Jaaxy returned keyword results.Looking at the different new keywords and their traffic it showed, I guess I got what I want.

This is my experience and I am not sure I am right or wrong.
Please try the same and if you have further questions please ask Kyle when he is in the live chat.Hope it helps

I'm not gonna ask "How long does it take to earn $5000 a month doing this", because there are so many different factors, but what I'd like to ask is: How long does it take to earn your first dollar doing this? I think the first one is the most important one because if you can replicate that ten thousand times you got yourself a lifestyle, and might be easier to answer, say, If I dedicate 1-2 hours a day, every day, taking action on every lesson and asking questions about what I don't know or understand? Thanks in advance.
Reply
lakbar12 Premium
That question still can not be answered. Nobody knows what the true answer is. They can tell you all kinds of scenarios but no one really knows.

There are millionaires that did not make their first dollar for 16 months but, today they are 7 figure earners.

There are people who made their first dollar within months and still not a millionaire.

I personally made my first dollar within 42 days but, I also work like 16 hours a day. Everyone work ethics is different and everyone will earn money at different rates.

You should never focus on the money, just focus on getting started and following through.

Here is an article that can answer your question. I hope this helps.

It does help, and it's not that I don't believe in myself, it's just that I've come across so many online courses and methods to make money online, and there was a catch to most if not all of them, that I'm a bit suspicious when it comes to this, that's why I want to know how much work I have to put in before I see results, although the experience here so far has been very fun and doesn't feel like work at all.
Reply
lakbar12 Premium
I am glad that it did help and it is really good that you do believe in yourself. Yes, I completely understand. Most of the members here have experienced scams, money hungry programs, and all the above. You are in good hands here. Trust me!

How long will it take depends on how much you willing to work and how hard. I did make a couple small commissions recently and it took 42 days but, I work 12 to 16 hours a day. Most of the time I work 16 hours a day.

From what I seen people say, all their time frames vary. Anywhere between 3 months to even a year. I've even see longer...

Here read this.....

This member right here it took him 1 1/2 years to earn $1000 a month...Here read his blog.... But, guess what just yesterday he posted this...

Hi Community!

I have a simple question. I've actually gone on and started a second Website and I just finished writing and publishing the Privacy Policy AS A PAGE, in order to avoid the Comment Box. However, after it was published as a Page, I noticed that the Comment portion still appears at the end of the Policy. I forgot if there is anything else that I need to do in order to remove the Comments portion from this page once it is published.

Would appreciate some insight and comments. Thank you all in advance.

I'm new to WA and have decided to move my existing website for my side-hustle (computer consulting) over as well as additional non-computer related sites.

I have ten domains that could be used for different niche's... (sites for love/date, computer, make money, save money)

Would you recommend starting 10 different affiliate sites right out of the gate? I'm excited but trying to figure out how to monetize different the topics.

Do I focus on adding content before affiliate links?
Reply

Content brings in traffic, no content no traffic so no point to affiliate links. Running ten sites out of the gate would be a nightmare and I would focus on the highest potential and work down from there

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
Hey Consumer World, welcome to the InwardReport.com. I just want to take a moment to say thank you for stopping at my website and I hope after reading this you will feel much safer and more informed about your Internet online shopping and product Consumer Reports.
A Little Tid Bit
I would like to start out by telling you a little bit about myself. It’s been a long road to get to this point in my life, so here’s a little insight into my journey. I was interested in finding a new source of revenue to support my ever-growing family but, I also wanted the luxury of work working from home when I choose to do so.
Throughout my working history I was never good at the standard 9 to 5 jobs. It was either a problem with my work schedule being at times that wasn’t conducive to my personal schedule, or I had issues with my employer or their standards of operations, or simply just the people I was working with.
I love trying new products and I also love helping others but, I struggled with trying to combine the two into one great service to help my fellow consumers, everyday people just like yourself. There is nothing more that makes me happy than spending time with my family, trying new products, helping others, traveling, outdoor activities, fine dining and woodworking. But just after spending time with my family, my two favorites of these would be trying new products and helping other people to better improve their day-to-day lives.
"For The Love Of" Helping Others
The reason I want to help people is because I love the world we live in and I want to see it get better every day. Whether that means introducing new products that enhance everyday consumer's lifestyles, interacting with new people to bring them comprehensive up-to-date consumer reports from all over the world and bringing people from all different walks of life closer together in a friendly and nonbiased community.
Introducing new products that can enhance consumer's lifestyles is very important to me. Reason being, I am also a consumer and just like you, I buy products. In most cases, when a consumer buys a product they have little to no knowledge about it. Here at InwardReport.com I aim to provide comprehensive up-to-date consumer reports on products that consumers generally have interest in. I want to give you information and help you find the best product that fits your needs in the most efficient way.
I love interacting with people from all walks of life daily. I don’t care if it's a grandma of seven grandchildren that works from home or the busboy at my favorite restaurant. To me, we are all the same in the end. I want us all to be well informed in our daily purchases. People deserve the right to shop online and to do it safety. I want to inform them on products so that they can do just that. For me to be allowed the privilege of day-to-day interactions with my fellow consumers is very rewarding. This is just a few of the reasons why I love to help people.
Mission Statement
My goal at InwardReport.com is that of giving people an inward report from an outsider’s perspective just like yourself. Who has nothing to gain from expressing his opinions and reviews on products, that I love and use. Except for the fact of helping my fellow consumers that is!!! I’m tired of people buying products that leave them very dissatisfied in the end. It may be due to cost, quality of the product or simply they didn’t buy what they actually thought they were buying.
I aim to provide my readers with the most trustworthy consumer report website on the Internet. It is my personal mission to put an end to the fraud associated with Internet shopping. I want my readers to leave my site feeling welcomed, safe, well informed about products, and confident with their online shopping purchases/experiences. I hope that while you're navigating my site keep these points in mind.
If you ever need a hand or have ay questions, feel free to leave me a coment below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
Ken B.

I have already put content on my website, like a post about weight loss, my privacy page and my about me page. When I go to customize, my options seem very short. I am trying to make my website look exciting, because right now it looks really bare. Is there another platform I can switch it to and customize it? I want to have a picture in the background and be able to change the colors of everything. It just looks not so professional and I want to make it look more exciting.

You can edit the look of your site in your theme settings. You should be able to do the editing you want there. You should go to Appearance > Themes, there you should be able to customize your current theme.

The look and design of your website depends on your theme so if you find that your current theme doesn't let you make it the way you look, then you'll have to research other themes to see which one has the options you're looking for... it may have to be a paid theme but there are tons of free ones out there too. You can search for themes also in Appearance > Themes.

Now I need to put in the privacy policy. No matter how many times I try; when I login to my new site. I go straight to

Hi people. :)

This is a bit off-topic, but I'm momentarily stuck on it and I'd like to hear another opinion. ^^;

I have an old alias from years ago when I was more-or-less active on the internet, so some people knew me by it, and a relatively newer one that's more "unique," and maybe easier to brand. Would it be better to stick with the first one or the second? (or just make up a new one?)

PS: neither is the one I'm using now, btw. XD
Reply
JHaugland Premium
It depends f the ones you want to reach now is the same that knew you by the old alias and if it's important that those people still can find you by the alias.
If not, would go for the brandable one (or as you say make up a new one)
Reply
Well, they weren't many, so I don't think it would be a problem to tell them I changed my username ;).

Though, I just thought of something else: that "unique" name is unique because it came from an item in an old (as in Windows 95) game. I'm not sure if that would be a problem. :\

(And apparently my old posts on deviantArt show up on google by looking it up on image-search. Funny O.o)

You don't have to use the website platform here if you don't want. You can use an existing site that you already have set-up with the training here or you can start fresh.

Sometimes with an existing site there may be some things that you have done in the past that could be hurting your rankings (backlinks, spun content, duplicate content, low quality content), so starting fresh and doing things properly from the start can be advantageous. But this is totally up to you.

Either way, I am here to help you along the way Jessamine!

Excellent training and Jaaxy also excellent tool.
I have a question regarding Jaaxy keyword search and domain availability?
After connecting Jaaxy to my site and doing some trial searches I did a search for keywords for one of my offline business's and it showed that .NET and.ORG domains where available, I clicked "find more" and it again only showed those 2 domain extensions available.
However when I did a search on Go Daddy it showed that .CO.UK was available. As I am in United Kingdom this was important information (I actually purchased the domain).
Is Jaaxy mainly US domains and does the keyword research only cover US searches?
Thanks in advance for any info on this.

I have somewhat limited experience with sitebuilder. I use it and then publish as a post or a page. Works fine. Pictures too.

I don't think sitebuilder is designed to to add information to the sidebar. That is done through your widgets.

I am at an impasse on what to choose for an niche. I love anything to do with kids. My children are now grown and I have 2 grandsons. I work as the Director of a Preschool and would like help single moms or new moms with issues that they may be concerned about with their kids or grandkids but have no idea how to get that narrowed down to a niche? Hi Ellen..

My mother had an in home daycare/preschool for 30+ years.

How about advice for young mothers just starting out. Typical problems and how to handle them, then branch out into other topics about child rearing, tips, general advice?

You could also promote products geared toward new parents?

Nice experience!!

Is this helpful?

I love Jaaxy for helping me choose a niche. I just went there and plugged in 'Parenting' and got back a bunch of keywords that were not quite appropriate for a niche as the competition for those keywords was very high.. So I plugged in 'parenting help' and got another list, further drilled down. Now we are getting somewhere:

Right at the top just under parenting help were these two great keywords (see the image).

So, you could make a site about parenting in general but with your posts addressing much more specific issues utilizing those keywords with less competition. Or, you could focus your site on 'parent helping parents' and go from there.

Note: I offered this similar advice to someone else earlier. I am new to WA so don't take my word for it, but this is just the sort of thing Kyle stresses in his training sessions.

Hmmm. Very interesting. Brainstorming here.... I can see a name like supportformommy.com or something similar... your about me page would be great due to your working experience with the preschool. I can see a section highlighting common problems that you have come across that new mom‘s and single moms face based on your work environment. And of course there will be a section of solutions. You can highlight real problems that you see with students on a daily basis. Also as an educator you probably have tons of ideas on how to improve things in the preschool arena which you could blog about And of course you can market all types of products associated with education, family support, stress relief...sky’s the limit. You can also try googling new moms, single moms, and do the ABC method Kyle talks about to see if it jogs any ideas for you. Hope that helps and good luck

Hello,

I have just joined WA today and am going through the beginning steps of training. I wanted to know before I set up my website, if once it is set up, will it have to always remain hosted through WA or can it be moved if I need/want to in the future. also, will the website come with some type of payment platforms, so I can begin selling product immediately? Any help is appreciated. This seems to b a fabulous community already!

I've messed up on a step somewhere & I don't know how to find it. My website currently has a home page, about me, privacy policy & a how-to page. These are across the top of my website.

When I type in my website address to see what it looks like to someone visiting my site, it comes up with my website name but it says "Nothing Found". When I click on the tab that says "Home" then an introductory page comes up that I wrote when I first started building the site.

Not sure what I did wrong but I have it all messed up!

When someone types in the website address, it should come to the "Home" page....right? I'm sure when they see "Nothing Found" they just leave the site.

Thanks in advance for helping.

If I build a rubix site, with the intention of moving it to my own domain later, what happens if the domain name is not available? Should I register a domain now or can I change the rubixwebsite name when I move to my own domain afterwards? Thanks in advance!
Reply
DynamicDavid Premium
Before you can move a subdomain site within siterubix, you specify the domain name that you want to move it to. This domain name needs to belong to you at this stage, and you need to point the DNS setting associated with that domain name to the WA name servers.

When you buy the domain name is totally up to you, if it is available now, and if I am happy with the name, and I am pretty sure that I am going to build a website using it, I buy now before someone else grabs it. That is how I roll.

When moving a site within WA, WA include an amount of work in the background, so that you do not lose SEO juice, and informs search engines that your site has moved from a to b.

You need to always get your domain first before building a site.

Thanks, I went ahead and purchased a GoDaddy domain. I'm hoping this is the right thing to do as I couldn't get the dot.com name I wanted through WA and dot.org and dot.net didn;t feel right for a commercial site. I bought a dot.co.uk as that is where I am and where my affiliate links will point to, ie UK products retailing online for the UK. I just went ahead and accidentally published my site even though there is nothing on it. Can I undo this action?
Reply
Maddy55 Premium
Don't worry about having Published your site even with nothing in it. No one will find your site anyway, without content and keywords. Just go ahead and start building it up :) When you are writing a post or page in your website, I would suggest that you save it in Draft until you have it more polished though.

Not sure but it will not be indexed anyway. This the site that you couldn't get the domain name?

As I understand, this is the site that ends with a ".co.uk" as a ".com" was not available.

You can move your siterubix domain to ANY domain that's available to buy. They do not have to match perfectly, so if your mywebsite.siterubix.com website is not available in the .com version, you can do something like mycoolwebsite.com

I have my niche picked out I'm wanting to go into the outdoors niche such as hunting, fishing, camping, etc... I am fairly knowledgeable on outdoor topics. My question is this too broad to start with? Should I narrow it down to only hunting and fishing. Or just hunting.(which I am very passionate about)

I would go with just hunting!
Reply

When choosing a domain name, I always err on the side of caution and pick the broader name. You can always start by writing about a narrower topic, such as hunting, and as your site grows you can branch out - with a more broad domain name you are not limiting yourself. I did that with my first site and am now locked into a very narrow niche :O

You can even narrow down and niche like hunting a little bit more. What type of hunting do you want to help people with? What aspect of hunting?

Do I have to be a premium member for these things to happen? Also, after I created the about me page and published it, it also didn't check for duplicates

It says: "I mean, seriously, Football Snack Helmets can be a lucrative niche (as Jay, who runs our Live Classes has proven in a Premium case study). FootballSnackHelmets . com currently nets Jay around $700 per month online.

This sort of success can happen within any niche."

I would hardly call $700/month success, is this the kind of money we are looking at? I don't mean to sound rude, but I haven't seen any stories where people make more than $1k a month doing this, maybe it's because I'm new, but if anyone could enlighten me I'd appreciate it!
Reply

Well, do that a few times, and $700 per site doesn’t look so bad...

Just like buying a house and renting it out. Rent on one house is not enough. But 10 houses? 20 houses?
Reply
IGrieverI Premium
Yeah I agree, I guess I just need to find out how difficult or how long it can take to reach that number each time.
Reply

It would be different for every person. Also consider that this is a niche site that maxes out after a while. How much can you really write about Foodball Snack Helmets? You can build an authority site with a lot more content that can make more money. So rather than 5 or 10 sites, you could just build one. Also there are different ways to monetize. Once that little site is throwing off cash, you could sell it for more immediate money and then move on to the next niche.

It really depends on your niche to be honest. If your niche has high ticket products to sell, like a gym equipment that cost $5,000 and you can earn a 10% commission, then your earnings will be higher than a niche that can only fetch low ticket commissions.

So, research your niche carefully and see if the niche is suitable for you to achieve your goals.

@IGrieverl if you want to promote high ticket products, it requires a whole new level of skill. If this is what you want, you can contact me at barenakescam@gmail.com, or you can message me on Facebook:

One site, a few hours of work, residual income. That is more of a micro niches, a larger niche site can yield as much as you are willing to work for, $10k/mth, $100k/mth...all is viable.

Jay just did this as a case study, and it turned into a nice stream of income for him.

With other sites you can have more content and more items you review. He is showing that you can make as much as a minimum wage job by literally reviewing ONE item and then a little website maintanence. I would love to make $700 extra per month by spending 20 minutes/ month.

There are many people who make 1k+ per month and I've even seen a few that have make 1k in a day (not everyday but enough to have a few grand per month.)

WA is definitely not a get rich quick scheme. It's about building your business. You have to choose what business you are going into, what you know you would enjoy or be able to write the most about the most effectively. That is one of the keys... quality, effective, keyword content.

It takes a few months to get started because it really is a new business you are starting. The process will be slow by nature.

Thanks for your reply. I think "get rich quick" schemes don't exist, at least not legal ones :P I'm not looking for that, I just wanted to know what the "ceiling" would be, if there is one. My question is how to do become apart of affiliate programs and where do you find these programs? I think I need to know what products to promote before I start a website and can u be apart of different affiliate programs and promote multiple products to have multiple sources of income?

Hi, I understand your concern. Kyle will teach you how to find the programs when you go through the training. Also when it comes to the affiliate programs almost anything you buy has an affiliate program.

Signing up for most affiliate programs are easy but, you can not apply until you have a site and some want content on the site. Anyways, like I was saying Kyle will teach you all of this just go with the process.

You don't have to know the products you will promote you just need to know your niche. Everything else will fall into place.

I hope this helps

@lakbar12 has great advice on why you should wait to start researching affiliate programs! But if you want a sneak peak, you can just go to Google and type "website topic" + "affiliate program" and lots of options will turn up! Signing up is free, and each affiliate program has a different way to give you links, different commission rates, etc.

Rosh, this is not a quick get rich program. I can understand your desperation for money. I grew up poor as a child. The people here learn how to build a website, and then how to get it making an income by putting ads and other affiliate links into the website. When one of your readers of your website chooses to buy a product through one of those affiliate links or ads, you get a commission. It can be a slow process to get attention or traffic to your website. It takes a lot of hard work in writing and learning. If you are up to the challenge of this, then go for it! Your first step here is to get started by setting up your account and moving on from there. As you complete each step, you check them off, so you can track your progress. Bless you for trying to help your mother and yourself to have a better life. If you are ready to do this, there are thousands of people here that are ready and willing to help you along the way.

hey rosh i'm 61; i've been around the block a few times. i'm a successful optometrist. there was never an opportunity like this until the internet came around. you are in the right place at the right time. all you have to do is treat people nicely, don't rip them off. give them more than they paid for. provide valuable content for your friends/followers. that doesn't mean you have to do it all yourself. find funny/neat/cool/eduational stuff online and post it on your websites. put in offers maybe 40% of the time. don't be a douchebag. other than that, the sky is the limit. good luck, never look back!

Yeah, the Internet is a beautiful thing and it has opened a great deal of doors for a lot of people (including all of us here). We are going to show you how to capitalize on this, while helping people in the process.

The easiest and best way to create a sustainable income is to build a business based on the idea of helping others. This builds trust and it makes the "selling" process very easy (in fact, it doesn't require selling if you have trust).

I have set up two websites here in WA, and my About Me is ALWAYS a page not a post. A post will go into the blog roll, and I add new articles or posts there. A page goes into a menu. This lesson is very confusing. Also Kyle states that comments are only on Posts, yet I have the choice in every theme to enable comments on Posts or Pages. I have chosen to enable comments on some of my pages in the Menu. Personal choice. In my Themes, if the About Me was a Post, it would disappear to the bottom of my blog rolls. However, as a Page, it sits in the Navigation Menu, at the front, followed by my Pages, and then I usually tuck an extra navigation menu on the bottom of my website, and there I put my disclosure page and my Privacy pages. Easy.
Reply
Kyle Premium
Yeah, that is fine if you enable comments on pages. You can remove this as well, everything you create moving forward will be "posts" which allow for comments.

Ideally you will make your Privacy Policy a page and not have comments on that particular page.
Reply
Maddy55 Premium
my point above is, why does the lesson say to make the About Me as a Post? It will get buried beneath all the other Posts. As a Page, it will sit in the Menu, clearly visible.

They should be spread out through your article. Most keyword density should be around 2.5 percent of the total article. Headings and subheading with the keyword boost the overall score of the page

{BREAKING NEWS} and then flashing {hello world} which mysteriously turned into {about me}. Totally unacceptable. could not figure out how to edit that. I looked into themes on the siterubix, very cool I was able to replace the theme with my content intact. the question is Why are there only three or for that will show the preview and allow me to use them.

When you go into change themes, there is an option to look at Installed Themes, or Wordpress Themes on the left. Premium allows you to use any of the wordpress themes, and you should be able to install and preview them as well.

If you mean that it only shows 3 or 4 when you are in the editor and want to change themes, click the big box with the + sign that says "Add more themes". That will bring you to a window that shows all available themes. From there you can get a basic preview and install the theme to your site. NOTE: Installing the theme will not automatically change your website. After you find one you think you like and install it, you can then do a live preview which will show you what that theme will look like with the content and navigation you've already set up.

I'd like some feedback: I think I'm getting the hang of interpreting keywords. Please tell me if I'm getting this correct. Here are 2 keywords: 1) Circle Y Trail Saddles and 2) Circle Y Trail Saddle. At first glance they seem to just mean one is plural. But when I look closely, I interpret the first one, Circle Y Saddle to mean that the visitor who types that in is looking for information on that particular brand. They want to know what the quality of the saddle is, how it's made, its durability, and the reputation of the company behind the saddle (which is circle y of course).

In the second word, Circle Y Saddles, the visitor who types that keyword in to the search engine already knows about the reputation of Circle Y and the quality of the that saddle brand. Now, they're looking for an array of Circle Y Saddles to choose from because they are looking for different TYPES of Circle Y saddles.

How did I do?

HI money magnet,

I'm not the expert so I apologize if my answer isn't what youre looking for.
So I copied and pasted both of your keywords and popped them into google.
The results were identical.
What this means from a keyword standpoint, in my opinion, is that the person searching will obviously receive the same results no matter their intention. Therefore, your judgement of the keyword should be based on the results for Jaaxy.
circle y trail saddles 88 15 28 Great 99
circle y trail saddle 144 25 94 Great 97

and the results speak for themselves.
I think the point is to find keywords that meet our criteria as pointed out in the lesson and focus our posts on that. It's really interesting how the two keyword phrases differ very very little, but the results in jaaxy show a much different story.
I don't think I answered your question, but I thought looking at it like that was interesting none the less. Good luck.
