This training is part of a series:

Welcome to Part 1 of my new series of training videos where I document my mini niche site experiment. In this first episode I talk about how to find products that people are already buying, show you my keyword research process, and show you how to buy domains.

I don't claim to be an expert in this topic, and I'm certainly not an expert in making training videos. But I'm giving it a go, and that's what it's all about - taking action.

This is me setting off on an experimental journey, and you are welcome to come along for the ride...

Marcus, how long did it take to see some sort of rankings for your keywords. My website has been up for a week, but my main keyword is yet to be found anywhere on google.

Also, what do you think of Pages ranking equally as well as posts. For my past websites, I focused only on posts because It tends to rank much better then pages. But I do hope it's not because I have created my content in pages

I think it took several weeks before my pages started to rank. If you website has only been up a week, don't worry. I can take a lot longer for more competitive keywords.

I'm not sure about the pages vs post question, though, sorry.

Sure thanks...

I don't know if you are facing this problem. I noticed that some the prices of the products don't stay the same for long. Just couple of days ago I write a product which is around $99. Then today, I see it at around $79. How do you cope with those?

Yes, Amazon changes it's prices very frequently. This is why they don't want us to have prices shown on our websites. I have no prices shown on my tablet site, only a button saying "View Price" which leads to Amazon. A quick and easy way to get them to click through to Amazon, then Amazon does the selling for me.

thanks for this marcus, good insight into how you choose your niches.
imo at the end you need to close better, without the second guessing of what you think the other will say. just close with 'ok thanks for watching, i would love to read your comments on the information given.'
other than that very good - thanks again
i can see you are going to be setting up vblog soon!!

Oh, interesting suggestion, thanks. Do you think it matters enough to edit the video? Or shall I just leave it as it is and then keep that in mind for future videos?

I just thought it was good to cover everything and open it up to any questions or comments, but put a bit to say that I reserve the right to do it might way anyway. I just thought made things really clear. But as you say, you're only giving your opinion, and it is a valid point.

Personally, I didn't notice anything out of place with the way the video ended. And it wasn't until reading these comments before the thought entered my mind that there may be an issue.

The content is great. Well presented. No problems.

Thanks Jeff. I suppose the thing is everyone is different, and we can't please everyone all the time. Best just to get on with and do the best we can at the time.
