Hello, this video is an introduction to mindset and how to change it to what you want it to be! For most of us here at WA, we want a mindset for success in affiliate marketing.

Just so you know, though, your can create the kind of mindset you want for success in music, art, education or even enlightenment.

You choose, because you will be free to do so.

Marc, I appreciate you. This was a great presentation. As Tiffany said, you are a great presenter.

If I am hearing you correctly in this presentation and your latest blog our ego gets in our way on the road to change and a mindset of success.

This is true. Here is how I have looked at it all of my life. I was raised on a farm to help you understand this analogy better.

Everyone has something they have to work through, some more than others. If they choose not to work through issues they can not move forward.

When a cow is milked the milk has to sit in the bucket and the cream comes to the top. The cream is skimmed off to make butter. I see our ego like this. The cream is the ego and when we work through our ego (skimming the cream off) we can grow or change to meet our new challenges. Such as a success mindset.

If we never skim the cream off it will seal and smother out potential. Skimming the cream is a repeated and continual process.

I think ego is emotion and pride combined. If this is true then there are a select few, maybe a 0.01% who can see glimpses of another persons ego. What do you think?

I want to change to meet the mindset of a successful person. My actions are radiating success but my mind (ego) is lagging behind.

HI Laura, I'm so happy you stopped by. I can't seem to get over the idea I met you in NC personally about 18-19 years ago...but I don't even know if you're from there really...

Yes, the ego protects us from changes that it thinks might be harmful. At one time they probably were potential threats, but now, as adults, they are not. We can't let the go rule our lives anymore.

I do like your analogy of the cream getting skimmed! Buddhist teachers speak of letting the muddied water in our minds clear, at which point, we can then see the mindset patterns on the bottom of the lake that our the tracks of our behaviors.

It's a that point we can jump out of the tracks, make a new track, and slowly cover up the old ones that are no longer useful.

The ego is generally a mental construct but it can certainly fire up emotion, no doubt. At that point, in experiencing the emotion, one can then effectively observe it and immerse oneself in it without judgement. The ego doesn't want you to do that! It wants to scare you away from that scar!

Pride is an emotional state prompted by the ego in order to protect oneself from something, perhaps some thought pattern considered bad by one's parents a while ago. Maybe they taught you to feel pride when you didn't think like that? Who knows. But surely, pride can get in the way of humility, where we grow.

I could go on and on :) lol but I think you get the idea :)

You pose an interesting notion of your mind/ego lagging behind.... that's an interesting idea/feeling worth elaborating on, if you care to try... I don't know if that would feel right, or....

Marc, I believe if one has a drive and desire to make something happen they will proceed and force themselves to move forward. But the fear of success is as real as the fear of failure. For each one of us to have a mindset for success, we have to skim off a layer of cream and face fears.

If we don't face the fears or work through them then the mind is lagging behind the actions.

No, I have only been to NC one time around 2010. I am told I look like someone all the time.

Hi Laura, I guess you have to add me to the list on the latter :)

'the fear of success' -- that's something that is generally spoken of often, isn't it? I think I need to make some commentary about this fear at some point.

I really appreciate your sharing with me! Marc

I love this! But for me, it was too short. :) I was just getting into it. I can't wait for your next video. I know I've been struggling with mindset, some days it's there and some days it's not.

Success is a mindset and I know it. Developing it and nurturing it is a needful thing. Recognizing and getting rid of the vicious cycles of the mind is very important and I, for one, know I need that greatly!

Keep up the good work and I await your next video!

Hello Jana, thanks for the feedback and I guess I'm sorry it was too short now:) But I guess I wanted to make it a taste of things to come.

I hate to hear you are struggling with mindset but I can tell you I do the same and it's not at all unusual, the good thing is you know when you are there and when you are not.

I'l try to be timely with the next one :)

It's okay. Making it a taste of things to come, great idea.

Thank you. It's good to know that you struggle with this as well (I don't mean that in a bad way).

You make your videos as you need to. I know there's a delicate balance there of how long to make it and what to include. You've given very valuable information and I look forward to your next training and again, thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed your training. You're a great presenter. This is a topic that's much needed here, so you've found a high demand and low supply opportunity. You should definitely do many more. I'm excited to see them!

Thanks Tiffany, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my first effort here and I appreciate the feedback on my skills. I think I'll need to be more animated in the future, though!8

Perhaps it's as you say about supply and demand. Not much evidence of that based on likes and comments so far :) But I think the niche is narrow within WA itself.

Those that are successful have cracked the mindset code and don't need help. The bulk of the top 200 active people here who aren't, well, aren't ready for the message or might not like the way it's presented or don't wish to acknowledge someone who's planning on slaying some favourite sacred cows.

The first of those being that the 'mind your manners in WA' mindset is a complete hindrance to success.

That won't go over well :).

Slaying the so-called Law of Attraction will be even less welcome than that :)

Yes, I think my audience is going to be pretty narrow, but I'm very enthused that you might check out the ride :)

I don't think you've tapped into the demand yet. Your following isn't large here yet, so your exposure isn't what it could be. Once you keep publishing more, people will find you. This platform works like other social media platforms where you're content only goes out to a percentage. The more you produce, the larger the amount of people will be that will see it and share. I think you've had a great response considering the size of your audience. Based on the interest in all of the motivational posts here about mindset, I think this is an untapped training opportunity on the platform. I think you would just have to commit and stand strong. Keep it up!

P.S. - Controversy isn't bad especially when it's your paradigm. It helps people to get to know you better.

Tiffany, thanks for sharing your expertise on how the production of more material generally fuels the growth of following. It's up to me to put that to the test...!

Is controversy my paradigm? Maybe, maybe! I see it as an exposure to truth and I'd like to hope that exposure shines light where there was darkness.. heh okay that's a bit melodramatic... sunshine where there once were clouds... :)

Thanks again for your encouragement! Marc

Thank you for this video, I really love the topic. I would say that mindset is 80% and skills are 20% of success, every successful person in this world pay attention to their mindset. You can have all the technical skills in the world but if you don't see how valuable you were if you don't believe in yourself if you don't believe that you deserve success and if you don't believe that success is possible for you, it won't happen. Thank you and look forward to your mindset tips. All the best!

Hi Blanka, thanks for the comments and adding to the discussion! It's true that there are skills requirements to get anything done, so true. With the proper mindset we'll adapt to obtaining new skills as needed for our successes as things change. Otherwise we can whither on the vine... cheers Marc

If all we needed to do was to give and receive a lot of 'attaboys' in order to attain success, I don't think anyone at WA would ever fail. That's far from the case, though.
