Local SEO for Even MORE Traffic and Exposure

Do you need more website traffic?

You're laughing at me right now, right? LOL! I know, I know, silly question. Who doesn't need more traffic.

Well, for me, I attack SEO and website traffic from every angle possible. It I can gain some branding exposure, get in some lead generation or content marketing to pull traffic to my website, I'm going to attack it like a tiger going after a filet mignon.

So, after performing my on-page SEO and continuing with my off-page SEO, as well as some high quality, engaging and unique content, I began looking into Local SEO.

What is Local SEO?

Local SEO is a subset of search engine optimization that helps people in your area find you on the search engines.

Now, this may not be for everyone as it can lead others in your local geographic area to you personally. But, for me, I'm cool with that. I'm proud of Wealthy Affiliate and promote it whenever I can. My friends know I make money online and I'm an entreprenuer at heart.

So, if you're feeling this same, this article can help you increase your reach, brand exposure, leads and bottom-line revenue.

This is EASY to setup and doesn't take long at all. Oh... and the best part.... It's FREE!

Is this only for U.S residents please?

I'd say it would work in other territories also, but I expect PJ will give you the definitive answer when he comes on here himself.

I don't really think so, because when I tried to set up one, the only options are for U.S residence.

Thanks for this PJ it is great training.

I used Google Places when I was running a virtual secretarial business and it worked well because I was targeting local businesses.

I am wondering, because I live in New Zealand but my affiliate marketing sites target USA, would using Google Places for local marketing have a detrimental effect on my global outreach?

From what I understand there is a "not a local business" option in there and you can still set something up - it might be a redirect to a Google Business page though, not sure.

Thanks PJ for your response. I will look at Google Places again. It is quite some time since I went on Google Places so I should refresh my knowledge. And thanks to you for rekindling this Google feature that I had forgotten about.
