Debate is raging about the best way to present links in a web page. What follows is my opinion, based on many years of website content writing. But there are other opinions from equally valid sources. On that basis, use your own discretion and see which method makes the most sense to you, and reads better in the context of a free-flowing piece...
You have three choices: you can show the full web address of the page you want to link to, like this:
"The best online resource on the Internet is Wealthy Affiliate. Please go to google.com to sign up"
or,
"The best online resource on the Internet is Wealthy Affiliate. Please click here for more information".
or finally,
"Without doubt, the best online resource available today is Wealthy Affiliate University. When you visit the site...blah, blah, etc. etc."
It hasn't received the recognition it deserves to be honest, in my opinion.
There is a lot of enormously useful information in there which could vastly improve clicks and conversions if used correctly. It is the finer points like this that can be the difference between making a little extra cash or running a hugely successful online presence.
But the most important thing to recognise is that just by making the improvements Paul discusses you are certain to improve your conversion rate, which after all is THE key to a successful IM future.
