When people come online and want to find outinformation, they will go to some sort of search tool. These searchtools are referred to as search engines. Common searchengines are Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask, AOL. I have no doubt that you haveused a search engine many times - you may have actually used one tofind Wealthy Affiliate =)
The words you typed into the search bar of the search engine are called keywords.
Keywords are the word or the phrase that people use to find the information they are looking for online.

Whats up all... ???? Why does the keyword tool pull up outdated info? Im going thru the Target Audiences tutorial and Im using the keyword tool from the left side tab. After I search my desired keyword, I click on view results and it'll give me old search results.... Inside the view results screen i hit the search button the all of a sudden what was once a search result stating 147 results now says 3,457,036 results for the exact same search...

Hard to understand what you are trying to say.
I suspect you are mixing up the search results 3,457.036 with the Quoted Search Results (QSR) 147.
Search results gives the total # of pages that are relevant to the search query.
QSR is the # of pages with that exact search phrase (keyword) in the URL/Article/page.
