Writer's Block:

Fear not, writer's block hits us all. Have you been there yet? Maybe you have a great idea on a new niche or just something you feel compelled to write about and... BAM! Out of nowhere you just can't seem to find the words to illustrate what you want to say. Sigh, yes I know the feeling. However, don't worry yourself over it too much. They say that writer's block can be attributed to various things like lack of sleep, too much sleep, not eating correctly and also things like stress. The truth is, it happens for almost no reason at all and can come at the worst time! So, how do we overcome a bad case of writer's block?

Good question. Here are a couple of tips I have found that help me when this ugly case of sickness plagues me and drives me to pulling my hair out.

  • I would start by carrying a note book and a pen. If you have joined the 21st century, then you might just carry your iPhone or another electronic device that you can quickly take typed or oral notes on.
  • Write about something you just read online or in a book. Rewrite it in your own view or opinion. Just by writing about something that you have a little direction on already or just read will help stimulate your brain and help to get you back on track.
  • Give yourself a mental break. What I mean by this is give yourself/brain a little distance from the topic you are writing on. Go run around the block, think about something you enjoy, take a bubble bath, just do something to get your mind off of the topic you are looking to write on.
  • One last thing I would recommend is that you spend some time brainstorming. Give yourself 30 minutes to just think. Think about other topics, things to write on, things you have already written about and listen to your brain. It might come up with some great new avenues for you to pursue in your writing endeavor!

Ok what's next?!

Hi John,

I found this information highly practical and extremely uplifting. I recently started on the Article writing road and it is when I read details such as the one's that you have here that I am again re-assured that the road I have chosen is indeed the right one.

However I am no newbie to the Internet, but years of evolving online have lead me to the conclusion that Article writing is indeed the right choice. Sometimes I wish I had learned this before, but then I needed to grow to understand how critical it can be, which has taken me some years, but now I absolutely know that I know what I am doing is right.

Thank you again,

Warm Regards,

Clive Anderson
