Everything is complicated today. Automobiles are getting more complicated; phones have way too many bells and whistles!
Computers require you to be a nerd to even turn them on, just too complicated. Televisions are now “home entertainment systems”. I remember the day when we had a big old radio that we all gathered around at my grandfathers to listen to boxing or some sporting event.
Then came the television…wow…about three hours a night it was on. All the family went to my uncle’s (he was the only one who had one) to watch Friday night wrestling.
Computers…oh dear…what happened to the 3 X 5 card and the box? We were lost. Many of the older folk just dropped out of the rat race.
The airplane went from the old Douglas DC3 (Gooney Bird) to the jet age…could not believe my eyes!?
Just too complicated! My sweet little Aunt, who is 93, finally succumbed to an answering machine on her home phone so she could hear who was there before she got up to answer it! Cell phone? No thanks!
My gosh…then comes the internet! Who could believe that all this stuff was on there? What happened to the Encyclopedia Britannica?
Help…I’m lost in all the technology! I’m drowning in information…I give up. I give up, it’s just too complicated.

My dad passed before the internet came into its own. It saddens me that he never got to experience that. He loved to do crossword puzzles and play cards. He could have been at that all day on the web!
Thanks for the fun post.
