Hi Tria, just want to confirm - you do not have any problems with automatically scheduling your backups with UpdraftPlus?

My problem is in the WP_CRON setting of WP - It is in the disable position for the site. Apparently this setting is in the cPanel which as far as I can tell we do have access thru WA. I think I need to send in a support ticket to correct the setting. I have not seen anybody else having issues with this.

Thanks, marisa

I do not use WA hosting. I use BlueHost.
I would definitely put in a ticket with WA. I have head the support here is very good.
I have not heard of anyone else having this problem either.
Let me know what support has to say okay?

Hi Trialynn, I put in a support ticket to WA - Here's their reply: We have enabled the word-press crons for your site, but please note following things that you should not store/stack multiple backups on server and you need to download and remove them.

The cron will be disabled if it is found to be generating high resource usage and multiple backups files will be deleted if found.

I have asked how to do not store/stack the backups as they request. Marisa

Updraft gives you a choice of how many backups to store. Just make sure it is set to within the limit. Mine was left on default, which is 2.
Very best of luck to you. Have a grand Easter weekend!

Thank you for introducing the wonderful plugin. I really appreciate. Previously I was using mainwp to take backups but this seems to be a lot easier.

Excellent tutorial. I'm happy with my backups, but it does not have a restore button, so I'm thinking of switching to this. Have you tried the restore button to see how it works?

Yes, I think sometimes it's easy to forget that a lot of people don't understand the basics yet. It's a decent thought.
