I read about this technique a couple months ago and have seen some moderate success so I thought I would share it with the WA community!
If you spend time looking at your Search Console you will notice some of your pages are probably getting a good amount of impressions but not many clicks. So basically the title and description of your page are not enticing enough to get people to click on it.
I don't think the training tells you to do much with the meta title or description, probably because there is just so much new information it can be overwhelming. Anyway, if you are reading this post you are probably ready to make some adjustments.
First, head over to your Search Console and have all of the items checked at the top (clicks, impressions, CTR and position) and we will want to look at pages instead of queries.
Your page should look like this:
Once you have this setup then click on impressions so they are ranking from highest to lowest. From here, the article I read, said to identify any pages with a CTR of less than 5%.
As you can see my jesus-christ-tattoo-designs is getting over 500 impressions with no clicks so I will try and update that one for this training.
